Sarah Palin is a shallow and superficial person, and her character a flimsy façade; she is all form and no substance. She is appealing to people that are so simple as to be impressed by nothing more than appearances. (Indeed, the former beauty pageant contestant has come a long way on that small capital.) She single-handedly lost McCain the last election. The Republicans would do better to court a person of substantial character, intellect and ability; a vulgar, stupid, incompetent upstart is not such a person.
