I think calling marijuana a psychedelic is a bit of a stretch to be honest. I mean, technically it might be, but it isn't like any other psychedelic. I smoke a lot, and have for a long time. I've never had a hallucination from it.

Have you ever taken real hallucinogens?

All of those that partake of marijuana, show that they have no respect for the law.

That's all kinda weird. It doesn't stay in your system long enough to affect you for anywhere near a year, let alone a few years.

Marijuana doesn't stay in your system for more than 30 days (less than that if you smoke often, I once passed a drug test after a week), so if you were experiencing these lasting effects, it was probably caused by a latent psychological issue.

No I've never taken any real hallucinogens, though that might be cool.

And although I mention that each breed and yield of marijuana has different effects on people, it did have some underlying themes! Each time I did it, it did two common things: 1. made it much more difficult to communicate (even though sometimes it made me just loopy whereas others I couldn't say anything that made sense), and 2. it warped my immediate/short term memory of events.

I know it's not quite a hallucinogen, but I did, on some of this strong stuff I've had recently, make it so that when my grandma talked, her image in my mind warped into..like..a 3-D animated sortof..idk how to describe it..kinda like those plastic birds that bob back and forth; one of those things. :S

Each persons body can and will react diferently to any given substance. For example, some cannot take asprin because it will kill them. For some the effects may have a longer lasting effect than others.

I doubt it. Marijuana effects the brain to get the high. If you wish to state beyond a shadow of a doubt that it can't sustain longer term changes....that is your opinion.

Irregardless it still shows a complete lack of respect for the law. It is both morally and legally wrong

Yeah; and also, THC does stay in your system for a little while (depends on your body, your diet and how much you had), and this leftover THC somewhat blocks new incoming THC, thus you have temporary increased tolerance.

But..if ya don't use it, ya lose it. Even the hardest of smokers, if they get off of it for a while, will get just as stoned if they start doing it again as they did when they were a beginner.

Well, no respect for that particular law, but what tool one must be to respect laws they feel are unconstitutional.

Yeah, it's nothing more than sheer and utter retardation to make smoking one plant that doesn't get you addicted and doesn't damage you in any way at all illegal, and then allow another that does get you addicted and can KILL you (tobacco), along with the pollutants they put in tobacco products, to be sold massively by corporations.

That is a matter that should be taken up with one's congress person. The only way to get the law chnged is to join the system and fight it from within. You just can't beat city hall.

I did that once in NYC, back when I was younger and more rebellious; my friend blew the smoke right in his face. They brought him downtown for a few hours, then released him with no charges. The rest of us didn't even get arrested.

My only regret was not finishing the joint.

Not a claim to fame; just a statement of one of my experiences on marijuana.
