Well it must only be like that in po dunk towns. In progressive cities, you have to be a legal citizen to register. Then you go to your polling station and show a valid ID and if your name is not on the list, you don't vote. PERIOD. And that's not to deny that people that shouldn't vote, do, that's just to say that there are plenty of safeguards in place to catch these people and the notion that many are illegally voting is nonsense and has never been proven. Illegal voting and illegal voter registration are two entirely different things. Your boys on Fox News however would like you to think they are one in the same.
That's actually kind of funny, it's illegal, remember who we are talking about, illegal aliens. Our laws mean nothing to these people. How can voter ID laws discourage people from voting? Do you honestly think anyone who can't be bothered to even get an ID is really interested in our political system?
So what's the problem with Voter ID laws? I simply can't understand why anyone would support a scenario that allows rampant fraud and abuse to occur in our elections.
Because you should not make it harder for legal people without transportation and other resources to vote. I thought you conservatives were for less government anyway? So I guess you would agree that illegal aliens are influencing our elections?
Transportation is not a valid issue, it isn't nor has ever been guaranteed to the populace to vote. If you are implying people without means can get our tax dollars without any identification, election fraud is the least of our problems. Indeed illegals do influence elections, I used to live in Southern California and seen it for myself.
So do you admit that less people will vote if we make it harder? Is that the Republican agenda? Again, if states are not smart enough to stop illegals from voting, then why do you want the Federal Government to get involved. Again, I thought you all advocated for less government. When does it become a state's right or responsibility to enforce voting laws in their own state? So you checked the citizenship of people voting in California? Please post the findings of your investigation. I'd really like to see it.
No, people that vote care, and getting an ID isn't hard, so it will not discourage anyone who legally wants their voice heard through their ballot. Failure to have voter ID laws only invites abuse. You seem confused about the concept of less government, its about the role of government, as determined by the Constitution, not this inflated monstrosity that is paraded out by liberals. Are you truly so naive? So everything in which you post is something you have done a study on yourself and can provide the evidence? Do you want to play that game?
Again, I told you how we do it here in Atlanta so there obviously are voter ID laws. Maybe Southern California should take notes if illegals voting is an issue. So you want to create a beauracracy to do what? Validate the citizenship of ever US citizen? Isn't that what the DMV does? Again, here in GA you need real forms of citizenship to get a state ID. Well me saying I saw a UFO isn't really believable is it? You saying you saw illegals voting is crazy. Did they all have sombreros and "I am an illegal alien" t shirt on? How do you determine if a bunch of hispanic looking people are illegal? So yes, I'd like evidence that illegals are voting.
Taking lessons isn't California's problem, their problem is their lesson plan reeks of Marx. How is showing a valid ID creating a bureaucracy? You seem greatly confused. I see you wish to hide behind a double standard, noted.
