Sure, they do...in their civilian clothes but not dressed in their uniform or attempting to represent the armed forces. When they signed up they agreed to that stipulation.

It takes a lot and I mean a lot to get a dishonorable discharge - time in Leavenworth, multiple AWOLs, etc to get one of those.

When I was in, I only say one Dishonorable. For the bad ones, the majority were OTH's (Other than Honorable). Usually drugs or civil arrests were involved.

Members of the military relinquish their rights and freedoms simply for dressing in their uniforms?

When you sign the contract and take the oath, you become property of the US Government. You lose the very rights you are fighting for.

This comes as a surprise to you?? They can get thrown in jail for simply not showing up to work, or getting smart with their boss. It isn't like a job at McDonald's.

They can protest if they want to, but they can't represent the armed forces while doing so.

When is this protest suppose to take place?
So now we bad mouth the Marines. Guess we only support the troops that believe the same as us? (rolls eyes)
I would like to thank you Mike and rstone for all you do for us.

I don't give an FNS about military service. You are getting paid to do that crap. Tell that the citizens of the USA who do not choose their unfortunate circumstances, many of which were much worse than mine.

That's right. In fact, I didn't think they could make political statements/protest even in civilian clothes while active duty, but certainly not in uniform.....

My hunny was a Marine and remember hearing him talk w/his Marine pals about different things in the Corps and sure that was one of them.......

are the military losers to defend the citizens of Camden, NJ, USA? Are they hiding in Afghanistan because IT IS SAFER? When will these losers start demanding that the USA is looked after FIRST before Afghanistan?

You are on a very odd soapbox indeed. Somehow, in your worldview, American soldiers in Afghanistan are responsible for you being born into squalor? Surely you jest? Perhaps you should take this up with your parents, and not the soldier who has signed up to protect your wretched, pissant little life if need be.

"Military losers"? Meaning the Marines themselves?

Why don't you talk to their Commander-in-Chief, who's name is Barack Obama about this?

He's the one in charge of the Armed Forces - or didn't you know that?

The military has nothing to do with PEOPLE. It has to do with Northrop Grumman, Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Raytheon and other corporate recipients. People are pawns to execute a goal. Fool as I am, USA citizens should be considered first. Even blacks, as much as I hate to say it.

The Camden police have already deferred to the New Jersey State Police. A little Federal help might keep the murder rate lower than the rate in Kinshasa, Congo.

The military can not police the streets, the constitution forbids it unless there is a war or a national emergency.

Look pal, we have a right to bear arms for a reason. We have a saying, when seconds count the police are only minutes away. It is your job to defend you and your family, get a firearm.

BTW : I am from Jersey and my grandmother lived in camden, I have first hand experience of what you are talking about, but you need to protect yourself, stop waiting for someone else to do it for you.

Look at the top of your comment post on the right hand side, you will see a scale right next to where it says your post number and PERMA LINK, click the scale in the post of the person you wish to give rep points too.
