Actually, all of them should be marching on the White House, then Obama might not be so gracious about them. His and past congress's policies are why the big bankers CEO's and wall street are garnering the outrage now. I particularly like this sign.
From what I gathered the protestors are not only realistic enough to find fault in Obama's policies concerning the big bankers, but they're also realistic enough to realize that they'd be no better under a Republican government. Face it: all your US-politicians have mutated into minions of the big banks and corporations. That's your (and our) core-problem. All this partisan bickering is just a big show to distract you from this sad fact.
Judging from financial issues globally- I'd say ur politicians , where ever you are , are not much better. The thing is obamas entire platform was based on, and I quote "change".
That's why I wrote "your (and our) core-problem". The only way to nail politicians such as Obama, his Conservative counterparts and politicians in other countries on their promises is to march the street in protests like the one on wall street and elsewhere in the US right now. In the end it's us whose vote they depend on. And as the recent uprisings in the Arab world have shown even dictatorships can't function if the people - excuse the revolutionary term - rise up and stand up for their interests.
A little local flavor. Now apparently advocates for indicted jihadists have joined the movement. Looks a little chilly in the shade.
None of the Leftards in Camp ANSWERnik will ever vote Republican, junobet. Most of the protesters are so far out on the lunatic Leftist fringe that that think the Alinskyites like Barack Obama are right-wing. I've seen enough examples to the contrary to dismiss that facile generalization as easily as you made it. I don't think you have a clue what the partisan bickering is about, much less its significance...
LOL - The street theatre of anti-Capitalist moonbats never accomplished anything in this country, junobet. The protesters like to pretend they represent the views of 99% of Americans, but in reality, their views more closely resemble those of 1% of Americans.
A common denominator that instantly evaporates any credibility these people may garner is this need to broadstroke and pigeon hole all as offenders at the expense of many really good people.
Obama's caught between the devil and the deep blue sea, isn't he, Cat? What you say about the policies is true, and his administration has been chock full of Goldman Sachs types, but the protesters represent the far Left political base that Obama emerged from. He wants to embrace them, but there's an enormous political risk to cozying up to a bunch of radicals, particularly in the run-up to next year's elections. All that baggage about Bill Ayers, Jeremiah Wright, et al, is bound to resurface....
So, let me get this right...since I didn't borrow money I couldn't repay for a house I couldn't afford and rented instead, I'm just a sucker without a paid-for house and a lot of irresponsible people (not everybody was irresponsible, mind you...) living beyond their means get a free house? And idiots who decided to party it up on a card they didn't realize represented real money just get forgiven for their irresponsibility? THIS is what some of the protesters are out there for? Their methods may represent the most American of values, but their goals plainly run counter to the values that this nation was built upon and made great upon. So, have fun. Enjoy your freedoms. I'm sure laughing at some of the pictures. (nice nipples on the lady in pink, by the way) I just hope you don't get your way and we can get back to the hard work and ass kicking that built this nation soon.
Funny to see empty-headed ANSWERniks shaking their little fists in impotent rage again. You can't buy this kind of entertainment.... More popcorn!
