Are Jews "Chosen" ? Chosen by who ?

If one reads the old testament but replaces the word ‘god’ with ‘the devil’ it makes a lot more sense.
You might think I'm being anti something or other or just silly but try it, it really works.

 

That is why being the leader or chosen people is very difficult it comes with great responsibilties and tough dicision making, many tribes and nations wants to destroy Israel either by military force or by breeding them out. In fact, Moses and Josuah were caught in a difficult situation that they had to consult God and God made the tough dicision for them.

 

Technically that is what Satan wants to happen, that is why if one does not read the Bible or reads the Bible and fail to understand it they will misinterprete it as devil's book.

 

I can agree that a lot of the leaders who self-identify as Zionists have done some awful things, but the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one where it seems like there is no good guy. There are extremists on both sides that have hijacked the situation, which is why it seems like there is no solution.

Granted, recognizing Palestine as a state might force things to change for the better.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to get to the heart of the matter.

The Jews were chosen thousands of years ago to introduce the world to God's will and to deliver to the world a Savior.

Some might say, having accomplished this goal, they've served their purpose. Others believe that they will also play a role in the "end times".

Further, having denied the Prophet that was sent, one might say that the Jews are getting their payment (via wealth, awards, etc noted earlier) on this side, as, in denial, they will not be rewarded on the other side.

No matter what one believes regarding their position in religious matters, "chosen-ness" never implied superiority; in fact, the Jews have had their foibles used as exemplars throughout their history.

 

All I know is the scriptures say God will bless those who bless Israel. Scripture also says all of the earth will be blessed because of Israel. I notice a lot of Jews winning Nobel Prizes over the years.

You are confusing the Israelites of the Old Testament with the Jews of the New Testament and today. they are more nearly opposites than identicals. Suggest you learn the difference. Learn the History of John Hyrcanus and then of Antipater and Herod the Great to learn who the Jews of the time of Christ and later actually were.
