The Tea Party or The Flea Party/Occupy Wall Street?

.......not to say you have to a member or supporter of either......but which group better represents your beliefs?

    The Tea Party Platform
    • Minimum Government--Maximum Freedom
    • A Balanced Budget
    • Lower Taxes--More Liberty
    • The Constitution
    • A Limited Restrained Federal Government
    • Personal Responsibility and Independence
    • The Founders and Forefathers
    • States Rights
    • No more TARP or PORKULUS

    The Flea Party/OWS Platform
    • Unknown?
    • Less Capitalism--More Statism
    • Punishing Success--Rewarding Failure
    • More Taxes and Unlimited Government
    • More Government to solve Government Created Problems
    • Defecating on Cop Cars
    • Stealing other people's sh*t
    • Wall Street's #1 Crony--Barack HusSame Obama
    • No Responsibility and (D)ependence
    • The Divided Dependent Socialist States of ObamAmerica
    • Tyranny

I prefer the views and platform of the Tea Party--1773 or 2010.........

    ....what say you?

I'm a patriotic American who believes in the Constitution, so of course The Tea Party is my choice!

I'm sick also of the silly libs who twist the meaning of the Constitution to increase government's role in our lives.

This might have been an interesting poll/thread had you came at it genuine and unbiased. I like you present the original tea party movement's goals, not the neocon take over. What this debate suffers is the fact the OWS group came into the limelight so fast, no grassroots goals could be established before the international left swooped in and established their own, like the neocons have done with the tea party as of late. The OWS is a 60's style protest without enough people to make a lasting impression. It was people getting killed by cops that made protests in the 60's powerful, but the advent of the rubber bullet has made those types of protests ineffectual.

Like my mom said, "I went to the 1st few protests at SDSU. We were all against Vietnam. After a few, suddenly a whole list of items we were protesting started piling up. Things I didn't give a (*)(*)(*)(*) about, so I never went back"

I expect OWS is a flash mob version that garners very little results.

Americans, as always, want instant gratification. That must be the thing we go to war against long before we try and take on the entrenched powers that be.

If I have misrepresented anything......let me know.

    ....they truely are the 1%......

    I would agree......

.....the overwhelming majority of people that comprise OWS are going to continue to vote the same people and party they have voted for the last 5 decades.....they arent going to change any elections.....and thats where change begins.

The OWS is nothing more than a collegiate version of the CPA. A bunch of whiners spewing out anti-semetic and anti-capitalistic crap.

I can completely misrepresent the facts about organizations I don't like, too.

    *********s
    • Minimum Government
    • Abolishment of Civil Rights and Anti-Discrimination Laws
    • Abolishment of the Federal Minimum Wage
    • The Constitution, but only the parts we agree with
    • No Government Regulation (protecting food standards, environmental standards, airline safety, etc.)
    • Privatize Police and Fire Departments, Prisons, and Schools (only people who can afford to be educated and safe should be allowed)
    • The Founders and Forefathers, when it's convenient
    • No Homosexuals
    • Govern by the Bible

    Occupy Wall Street
    • Responsibility of Corporations to Invest in America
    • No Corporate Funding to Politicians
    • Affordable Health Care for All Americans
    • Hold Banks Responsible for Stealing from Taxpayers
    • Bring Outsourced Jobs Back to America
    • Equal Rights for ALL Americans, regardless of race, sex, age, sexual orientation, religion, etc.
    • Fair Tax Burden on ALL Americans
    • Live According to the WHOLE Constitution
    • Democracy

This version is a bit more accurate.

Lol, what's funny and a little sad, is that you can't prove one single piece of your misinformation about the tea party.

Maybe you should find about yourself, instead of being told by your string pullers in the media, and in office.

    (*)(*)(*)(*)ing sheep.

While I would consider your version a giant load of Pelosi......

.....Im curious as to what you mean by "the WHOLE Constitution".......as its evident everything you include in the Flea Party platform is Unconstitutional at least.....Unamerican at best.

This isn't completely bias in anyway! :ignore:

Pretty much every poll says Americans favor OWS more. Also, OWS hates Obama as much as they hate Wall Street. Yeah.

I consider both parties to be about 80 - 90% whackjobs. The remainder in both cases is comprised of reasonable, intelligent people with good points.
This post actually displays some of the problems that prevent anyone who is not already a member, from taking either party seriously.

Badmutha, I say they are stupid as they are both ignorant and arrogant...a deadly combination that plagues us too much in these times.

So people that believe in the Constitution, a Limited Government, and a balanced budget are whackjobs?

I would say the post displays what is happening in America.....the awakening of the sleeping giant.....and the realization that statism is the complete fraud and utter lie its always been and always will be.

    1. The Constitution. Everyone believes in the Constitution. If you ask them "Hey, is there a Constitution?" They'll say "Yup!".
While I like a lot of what I see in the TP, you bring up just one of its' flaws. It's not that the TP believes in the USC, it's that they want to be dictators. The USSC is empowered by the Consitution to interpret whether laws adhere to it. The TP wants to screw the USC and interpret things themselves. And they want their interpretation to over-ride the majority.
Limited Government. That's what TPer's say. But their candidates want a highly intrusive BIG Government on social issues. So again, they're rather dictatorial. I would personally get rid of over two dozen govt agencies altogether. Just not the ones they target.
Balanced Budget I'm all for that. I just don't like any party dictating that because they've drunk the kool-aid, they will dictate that balance will come on the backs of the middle & lower classes - which again is what the TP wants to do.
    2. Lovely collection of bumper-sticker phrases. Especially "statist". That one is last year's "OMG"!

Also, while the TP clim to be about only a few things, they are already joining the good ol' boys and getting themselves some nice corporate owners who get to tell them how they feel on issues completely unrelated to all of the above. Like Bachmann or Paul, they're business as usual.

The USSC is empowered to interpret.....not to legislate. With a majority of Liberal Acitivist Judges....they believe their duty is the latter.

I have been to many Tea Party Events......the overwhelming majority of people attending could care less about social issues.

If your for a balanced budget.......then you have to be against the Democrat Party and RINO Repubs.

Ron Paul is anything but business as usual......

Well, Okay I have to go with you on that one. He is a LOT of fun to watch. I mean, I waited the entire NH debate just to see him make one of his "special" statements but they didn't give him much air time and incredibly, when they did, he didn't say anything hilarious. I was disappointed...
