    Young adults in Britain cannot afford to move out of their parents house. With housing prices so unaffordably high, why is Britain bringing in even more immigrants? The UK should solve its own problems first, before it takes on even more people. If more immigrants come, the problem is just going to get worse. The inability to move out of their parents house has contributed to depression, and even suicide, amongst many young adults.

    Isn't this why historically politicians responded to economic collapses by state sponsored infrastructure projects, and other labor intensive things?

    Violent, revolution-like criminal shifts in political institutions happen under 2 simultaneous conditions:
    1. hunger (economic hopelessness);
    2. and that within the 18-25 age group.
    In other words, when young people are denied the resources to start their lives. The violance is sparked by the obvious contrast between the opportunities of young people against the opportunities of the 30+.

    Middle aged and old people (40+) may be in the same shoes as young people, but they always die without much noise.

    A lot of people in the UK don't own their home and live all their lives in rented homes. But it's already been like this for decades. So why all the depression? Isn't this something they got used to in all this time? If it was in a country like Romania where close to 100% of the population own their apartments and houses I would understand.

    Among all its dark parts communism (I also have to give it some credit it rightfully deserves) has built thousands of new neighborhoods in hundreds of the Romanian cities. It even turned some ordinary villages into cities and sold homes at ridiculously low prices. I at 21 together with my father and my mother (they are all my family) have 2 apartments and 1 house now.

    I am laughing at those who write these newspapers. They say:

    I wonder what that Halifax report thinks of when it defines 'Europe'. Maybe it doesn't know much about Europe and what its boundaries are.

    People in the UK have no homes because it's a very elitist place where the richest are supported nationally to get richer. Maybe I'm not entirely right with this last one but that's what the UK looks like from the outside.

    Sorry, but if one chooses to study photography or interior design... well, be my guest.

    But, please...

    Don't come whining when you can't put food on the table...

    And too many youngsters are greedy...

    It is quite impossible to simultaneously buy yourself a house, the new Mercedes A-class, spend €200 on clubbing every weekend, go shopping for designer clothes every month, and booking numerous vacations to far-away-places. Grow the f*ck up...

    Anyways... I'm moving next month to a splendid Art-deco apartment in an absolutely fabulous neighberhood! :thumbsup:

    What tax rate are they paying to the welfare state?

    Nevermind, I fund this and it confirmed my thoughts.
