I am putting some apes on my bike, 12", and this is what I want to know. How much over stock do the cables and stuff have to be? I mean, why HD ever put pullback bars on a bike is beyond me. They are NOT comfortable. And what about internal wiring? What are anyones thoughts on internal wiring vs. external wiring?
Howdy I like external easier to work on, on the side of the road. I think the buckhorn style was put because it gave owners a reason to buy new bars for their bikes.
Thank you Spade115, and welcome to the forum. You make a good point about external wiring and I agree, but for aesthetics, I am leaning more towards internal wiring.
Hey man, its your bike and god (or whomever you worship) forbid you break down on the side of the road for a throttle cable you have to pull that sucker out and use a set of pliers to get home (Happened to me on my sporty) The smileys on this forum are kind of creepy
Im not running my cables internally, just the wires. I actually like the look of the cables being outside and it does make more sense anyway. Yeah, the smileys are a little intimidating. Good thing I am a biker. lol
Thats true Spade, but I am a little biker so therefore I ride a little bike and a big ole lady. But, its better than those guys that ride those Buell Blasts. Have you seen those things? I pick those out of the grill of my truck.
Spade, if I had known that you ride a Blast, then I wouldnt have said that. It wasnt politically correct and therefore offensive. Oh forget it, its all in fun and you know it. "The emissions that spew out of our 100+ year old technology bikes dictate that we really don't give a flying (*)(*)(*)(*). LMAO"-Mr. Scary 10/12/2011
Harleys Hot Rod. lol Im looking around for a bike ,just checking prices right now. a few buddies are considering buying a few
I totally agree, he should be reported to the RSPCA. I would also like to point out that the word 'at' is redundant in the title. "Where I am." Conveys the sense perfectly - "Where I am at." is a grammatical nonsense verging upon tautology.
