US Man Jailed For Making Child Pornography at School AFP - 4 hrs ago A former elementary school principal in Iowa was sentenced to 30 years in prison Monday after pleading guilty to one count of producing child pornography involving students at his school, officials said. Robert Burke, 43, admitted that as head of the school in Dubuque, Iowa, he had "used hidden cameras in the school bathroom to secretly capture videos depicting the genitals of male students," said the US Justice Department Burke also admitted to saving the videos on computer hard drives at his home. He was uncovered after an FBI agent in Washington downloaded eight images of child pornography that were traced back to Burke's residence, officials said in a statement. Burke insisted he "not touched any children in a sexual manner," and US officials said they had no evidence that contradicted that claim. A forensic examination of Burke's computer equipment also "revealed no evidence that Burke shared the videos he produced at the school," according to the statement. Along with 360 months in prison, Burke was also fined $25,000. "As an elementary school principal, Burke was in a position of trust and authority over his students," said US Attorney Stephanie Rose. He took advantage of that trust, and he used his position of authority to exploit the children he was supposed to protect. This shows a pitiful lack of proper care for our youngsters. How did the cameras get into the boys bathrooms in the first place. Why werent the cameras discovered in routine cleaning? And where did the FBI find the pornography that was traced back to the principal?

It must be a wayward gene with republican males that keeps floating to the surface on occasion. And their insistence on running as "a family values" party makes it all the more hypocritical. What a misleading headline. Wouldn't it get to the point faster if it read: "Public school principle jailed for photographing naked boys in school restrooms." But in our politically correct society we have to shelter public educators and homosexuals.

Another misleading title would be: "Principal employs camera in boys restrooms to record activity" But images found in Burke's home were of boys aged 8 to 10 indulging in sexual antics but could not be traced back to the school restroom. The Judge said that it was the worst case of displacement of trust by a principal she had seen. Burke himself was fired from a previous position as swim coach at another school on drug charges.

They found other porn in Burke's home and I think thirty years will be enough to have him think about the whole sordid world of cameras, little boys genitals, videos, and his reasons for doing such a sneaky unethical thing.
Actually, I have read a few articles that show data that blacks and Hispanics are more likely to sexually abuse children, on a per-capita basis. Remind me which political group they mostly belong to. There may be more "old white guys" being arrested for the crime in total, but that is the result of there being more white people in the general population.

I'm looking for articles on race statistics of child abusers and I can't find a single one that addresses this. Please link the article you are referring to. Yeah minorities are obviously responsible for more crimes; especially violent crimes like theft and murder (not that its completely their fault); I don't dispute that. However from personal observation, I think that child sexual abuse in particular is much more common with whites. I am looking for any studies that can confirm or deny this. This guy never actually did anything to the children physically..
