Female Soviet snipers were used during a dire time in Soviet history. They acted in a role very different from modern Infantry or modern snipers. They were in essence marksmen and not scouts as today's snipers are often used.

Oh wait.. never mind. We have MRE's and Koreans. We don't need women on the from lines... Hehehe j/k..

MRE's are quite tasty... with a few exceptions. As long as the woman is not given special treatment and can meet all the physical requirements a man is expected to meet to be out there, I don't see a reason not to allow her to be on the front lines.

 

I do not remember turkey at all, so probably not. Then again I always drew the short straw on the MREs.

I have only ever eaten a few MREs. Benefits of being a rated officer I guess. Never thought one was tasty. At all. I think I would rather drink buffalo semen than eat another MRE.

How can anyone bear the though that a shapely, physically well trained, kind, brave, friendly, intelligent, beautiful, and ... woman gets shot by an enemy?

We guys are supposed to die 100 times over before we let this happen, don't we?

Women are just WAY too important in life to play with their lives in this way.

I'm going to go ahead and guess that you haven't had to go weeks on end eating them? I thought they were "good" my first few times in bootcamp. After two pumps to Iraq I've vowed never to eat one again. I used to stock up on beef jerky, lucky charms, and ripits for short overnight patrols so I didn't have to eat that (*)(*)(*)(*).

 

I used to have pretty much every case and every MRE memorized. I knew what condiments and sides came with every one. In two minutes I could rat f*** an entire case and come away with every valuable snack it had. There was no "short straw" for me
