No. It means Obama hasn't been proven not to be an American. Inocent until proven guilty. You can't just go around having witch hunts with no evidence. If you don't even have enough evidence to start a trial how on earth do you think you'll prove he's not an American? Pathetic.

 

It's mainly because Obama has official documents backing his citizenship up. And birthers need to have conflicting evidence to start a trial. Which they do not. They have no evidence whatsoever.

You can't just go making random accusations and expect the court to move at your whim. You need evidence to start a trial.

No I didn't. You said Obama is obligated to prove he is an american. That is incorrect. You are obligated to prove he is not. Obama has all the documents this country accepts as proof of citizenship. It is up to you to prove those documents wrong with conflicting documents. Only then will you ever have a trial. And birthers will never get that because it doesn't exist.

spiderman i like you and you make good comments. but because this is of a political nature, the non believers should endeavor to make the birthers comfortable and welcome at the table of discussion. too often people are quick to judge. there are a lot of people looking at this, and evidence is always coming out.
it's a trainwreck. but traditionaly in america we let these things run their course. as long as reasonable intelligent people have concerns and doubts, they should be respected.

perhaps non believers could start local chapters in their own neigborhoods.

The standards for proof of citizenship at birth do not require judicial review. They were outlined by the US State Department decades ago, and the DOS is the single highest authority on the planet for settling issues of US citizenship.

Obama's birth certificates (both the short and long forms) meet those standards perfectly.

Validates their existence? You guys sure have a weird method of proof. Birth Certificates don't actually prove birth and coffee mugs do prove existence. But wouldn't this mean that Obama's birth certificate is proven to exist because it is on a coffee mug? Or are you waiting for the long form coffee mug?

No. Politics aren't for me. Computer Science is where I want to be. I'm a decent writer but not much of a talker.

But back on topic...Yes I have seen the so called evidence brought forth by the birther crowd. Mainly a lot of self professed experts looking to deeply into things. None of these experts ever release their names and credentials. And when they do it turns out their credentials aren't at all related to what they are trying to show.

It goes on about JPG artifacts and layers, but in the end none of that matters because it's not enough to start a trial. It might be enough to make a few tin foil hatters a little suspicious but really the only thing that could bring Obama to trial is a conflicting document. A government sponsored document that conflicts with Obama's government sponsored.

Right now Obama's evidence is WAY more compelling. Two government issued birth certificates and 2 newspaper birth announcements. The newspaper announcements are really just a bonus. Because all that is really needed are the birth certificates. They are government sponsored documents that say Obama was born in Honolulu Hawaii. This means that the government MUST consider these documents to be 100% true by law. Even if the president of Kenya came to America and said Obama was born in Kenya the courts would not accept it as evidence over government sponsored documents.

The only thing that can prove a government sponsored document wrong is another conflicting government sponsored document.
