And my thoughts are you can only respond against someone assaulting you or your property with a similar amount of force. If someone punches you, you can punch them. If they pull a weapon you can pull a like weapon, a bludgeon for a bludgeon, deadly weapon for deadly weapon. Since theft isn't deadly I would equate that with non lethal forces so you can, punch, kick, bludgeon, taze him bro, mace, rape whistle, rubber bullets, bean bag gun, most of the stuff on the Jackass movies/tv show the thief. IMO he still has the rights to trial for his crimes, as might I if I get too carried away with the tazing

I disagree!! I feel that as a basic human right, I can defend myself with equal or better means than those who wish to harm me. If you break into my home, should I hesitate and determine what weapon you have, and then try and retrieve the same just to make it FAIR!!!?? HELL NO!! There is no such thing as a FAIR fight.. Either you win or you lose. Maybe it used to be fun to duke it out, but those days are gone. Today it is life or death.. I choose Life!!!

Eternal salvation can also be determined by those who actively fight against evil and terror instead of submitting to those forces. When evil and terror carries a gun, so should those that defend against them.

 

In your own home you can use deadly force much more freely, I agree. Outside of home only the police get to use a higher amount of force than threat presented without getting into as much trouble.

But, "turn the other cheek" only means a second chance. We only have 2 cheeks.. After that, it's game on.. 5 or 6 is way too many.. Even if you count your butt cheeks, 5 is over the line.
