Alleged members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) killed three people in an attack on an oil field in southeast Turkey overnight, security officials said today. PKK militants shot dead two security personnel and an electrician as they got out of their vehicle at the Selmo oil field at Kozluk in Batman province yesterday night, the officials said. The Canadian firm Transatlantic Petroleum Ltd. operates the Selmo field and describes it as the second largest in Turkey. Transatlantic said in a statement it was working with local authorities to investigate the incident. An air-backed operation was launched at dawn in pursuit of the PKK members, security officials said. Batman Governor Ahmet Turhan said operations at the oil field were continuing. More than 40,000 people have been killed since the PKK took up arms against the state in 1984. The PKK is listed as a terrorist group by the United States, European Union and Turkey. http://www.hurriyetdailynews.com/n.php?n=turkey-killings--1124-08-2011-11-24
should "The Canadian firm Transatlantic Petroleum Ltd." ask first the native people before their start operating in Kurdistan?
exactly this is kurdish oil turkey is stealing and selling to buy weapon to kill kurds with it later on , Saddam did the same but in the end it brought doom upon him. similar fate will face those who steal other nation's resources to only kill that same nation with it ...... we wall know turkey is only in war with kurds no one else , i mean Iran threatens to bomb the missiles on turkey's soil and yet they dont dare say 1 word , so that is right turkey is so brave to kill helpless kurdish fighters with the resources of kurds but when a country like Iran wants to bomb them , turkey does the hush hush . so of course kurds will kill for this , its their resources been stolen from them only to kill and oppress them .
LoL @ helpless fighters. The incident happened in south eastern Turkey. That post reveals the terrorist mentality of yours.Cheering for the death and yet you try to lecture about humanity to others.
i never said an independent county for me K-stan is "geo-cultural region wherein the Kurds form a prominent majority population, and Kurdish culture, language, and national identity have historically been based."
edition: the Pkk(the leftish guerrillas) that are attacking the illegal Turkish oilfields in Kurdistan .
so what, you know when the Kurdish nation was "founded"? PS "The Canadian firm Transatlantic Petroleum Ltd. operates the Selmo field and describes it as the second largest in Turkey. Transatlantic said in a statement it was working with local authorities to investigate the incident."
You are a Lithuanian immigrant in Sweden.First give the land you stole from Poles then worry about kurds.Vilnius is Polish territory.Lithuania is Poland.
really ? who did just Erdogan apologize to 2 weeks ago ? . and 40 million Kurds with their own occupied lands , what is a nation to you then ? oh yeah correct unless like Turks you dont have a bloody dark history you are no nation , in other words if kurds do not commit genocide like turks have then they dont have the right to become a nation ....... it is clear who is the fascist here i dont know how you will be allowed to stay with such racist fascist remarks . will see what the mods say about that . you should not be allowed in here , you are a disgrace to human kind . my country Kurdistan
I dont need to learn humanity from a terrorist who enjoys the killings of pkk.Keep your morality to yourself. This is not your personal place
if you move to Sweden or elsewhere you(turk) become directly an immigrant from the third world , i have Citizenship of the European Union so... if Vilnius was stolen it was stolen from belarusians if you want to know more about this subject http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polonization. then Vilnius was, is and i hope will be a multinational city
according people like you the shii´as and Kurds have no rights, but senx God people like you can rule(only the strongest one gets all) only in the third world counties like the Saudi Arabia , Sudan, and Turkey
