    Let's compare and see those endorsements !

    1st with the establishment people..you need them..and they do know what they are endorsing.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/12/20/republican-endorsements-mitt-romney_n_1158999.html

    An analysis by The Huffington Post shows that Romney has nearly tripled his endorsements from the Republican Party establishment over the last three months. He has been endorsed by 59 Republican governors, members of the U.S. House and Senate, and state party chairs, up from 22 at the end of September. Over the same period, Romney's share of all the endorsements issued so far by these categories of Republican officials has increased from 46 to 65 percent.
    End.

    http://www.allamericanpatriots.com/...ral_james_spider_marks_joins_romney_president

    “Lieutenant General Watts said, "Governor Romney understands the nature of the threats facing our nation and will make sure that our men and women in uniform have the very best training and technology to get the job done." ”
    "Lieutenant General Claudius "Bud" Elmer Watts III Served As Comptroller Of The U.S. Air Force And President Of The Citadel. General Watts' Air Force career spanned 31 years during which he served in numerous flying positions, amassing more than 7,000 flying hours and commanding various units up to wing level. He also held numerous staff positions, culminating as Comptroller of the United States Air Force in 1986. General Watts was named the 17th President of The Citadel in 1989 and served in that position until his retirement in 1996."

    Brigadier General Mikolajcik said, "Governor Romney's record on veterans' issues is very strong. He firmly believes that the commitment to our troops doesn't end when their service is finished and that we must take care of those who have sacrificed to protect us. I look forward to telling my fellow veterans in South Carolina of his plans to keep America secure." ”
    "Brigadier General Thomas R. Mikolajcik Is An Air Force Academy Graduate With 27 Years Of Military Service. General Mikolajcik served in the Air Force as a pilot, staff officer and held numerous command positions. He retired in 1996 as United States Air Force Director of Transportation and is a consultant in logistics and transportation. The General is an adviser to the Metro Chambers Military Relations Policy Council and was awarded the South Carolina Order of the Palmetto in 1994."

    Supporting Mitt Romney as a counter-intelligence policy advisor is -
    “Former Lieutenant General John "Soup" Campbell: Gen. Campbell retired after a 32-year career in the United States Air Force (USAF). In his last assignment, he served as the Associate Director of Central Intelligence for Military Support for the CIA. In this position, Gen. Campbell was the senior military representative at the CIA. Prior to this assignment, he served as the Vice Director of the Defense Information Systems Agency and as the first commander of the Joint Task Force – Computer Network Defense. He also served on the Joint Staff as Deputy Director for Operations. Gen. Campbell is the recipient of numerous military and intelligence community awards. Currently, he is the Executive Vice President of Government Affairs at Iridium Satellite. He had previously served at Applied Research Associates (ARA) as Principal, Defense and Intelligence.”

    Anthony Principi, The Secretary Of The Department Of Veterans Affairs (2001-05)
    Jim Nicholson, The Secretary Of The Department Of Veterans Affairs (2005-07)
    Principi and Nicholson issued a joint statement: “Mitt Romney cares about our men and women in uniform, our nation’s veterans, and their families. He has spent his career leading organizations and strengthening their performance, and under a Romney administration those who have served our country can be assured their Department of Veterans Affairs will be there for them. We are at a critical juncture in our nation’s history. Governor Romney will ensure that veterans receive the world-class medical care and benefits they deserve, and supply the men and women in uniform today the military they need to win wars and come home safe.”

    END.

    So I think we have a clearer explanation of what the Establishment really is..and if you do not get their endorsements you can explain it away as being anti establishment.
    There will plenty more ...:gun::gun::gun:

    We often hear about a support team and staff. Are the people we elect ready to hit the ground running ..knowing the STUFF ?
    Did Cain have that staff ?
    Newt or MB ?

    Paul ???

    Let's examine who advises Romney and see their backgrounds and see if Romney can pick them.

    http://www.mittromney.com/news/pres...gn-policy-and-national-security-advisory-team

    Take a tiny moment..compare with who your favorite candidate surrounds themselves with..
    Think Obama did as well ?

    Romney's endorsements come from other places than the extreme conservative wing of his party, of course. In New Hampshire, for example, he's been backed by former Sen. Judd Gregg, who was once considered for a post in Obama's cabinet. Romney also has the support of former Sen. Mel Martinez, now a co-chairman at the Bipartisan Policy Center, which encourages compromise among the parties.

    Mitt has a great business resume and many endorsements...

    But does he have the endorsement of the American people?

    That is what we will find out in these upcoming months.

    True ..but a real question is ..
    Is Ron Paul ready to be president ?

    I listed the link page to Romney's staff..
    Does Paul have anybody like that in his ?

    Does he have a counter terrorism expert?
    An Asia expert..?
    Africa ?

    Look at who he has..not political cronies..or ex bomb makers who started his campaign in their house..like Obama had.
    See who the experts at the top of their game chose to work for and advise.

    When I look at Paul's page I get 5 home schoolers for his staff in NH.
    Like do they advice him on pirates off Somalia ?
    I seriously say enough is enough.

    Running against somebody or something IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH.
    You have to provide evidence you have a TEAM and are ready to lead when elected..
    Newts team has quit ..been fired..and who advises him on which comments to make on the courts..terrorism..the economy.. ?
    Which endorsements besides the anti Romney paper in N. H has he received?.

    and if you are keeping score Paul has 3 establishment endorsements.
    3 to start and NONE since then.NONE.
    You can fool the voters..look at what Obama did..
    I say NEVER again.

    More Flip-Flop Romney endorsements:

    - Osama Bin Laden
    - Momar Gaddafi
    - Al Qaeda

    Al Qaeda is thrilled at the prospect of a President Romney. Because they know the flip-flopping, greasy-haired piece of excrement is weak.

    Mitt "Flip Flop" Romney quote from 2008 on killing Bin Laden in Pakistan:

    "I do not concur in the words of Barack Obama in a plan to enter an ally of ours... I don't think those kinds of comments help in this effort to draw more friends to our effort."

    It's kind of ironic that you would use the gun smiley, as I don't foresee an NRA or GOA endorsement coming for Romney:

    [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk1bJOpYUqE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kk1bJOpYUqE[/ame]

    This and the fact that he actually SIGNED an assault weapons ban won't be popular in the South.

    I can't imagine voting for him. If I didn't know better I'd say that the Republicans are trying to throw the race to OBama. Romney IS Obama for the most part. I haven't found any issue where they actually differ enough to make a difference. Both support Obamacare (which is actually modelled on Romney care), among many many other areas. I can't endorse him because I can't endorse Obama.

    Here are those Gun endorsements you asked for..Merry Christmas..and not to worry down south..:)

    http://www.aboutmittromney.com/gun_rights.htm#statements

    “NORQUIST: Guns and Romney. Romney's position on guns is flawless ... I went and worked with the governor back when the D's were planning on passing a restriction on 50 caliber rifles in Massachusetts. And he committed to me that he would oppose any restrictions. I’m on the 50 caliber association, not the machine gun guys, just the single shot 50 caliber. Although if we set up one of the other associations I'd volunteer, no, its lots of fun and people keep wanting to restrict these things of beauty, but people don’t appreciate art in this country, that’s the problem. So, his position is fine.
    “Where he got awkward is trying to do this, ‘I'm with you, I'm a lifetime hunter’, meaning ‘I've hunted.’ And, he'd only hunted a few times ... He didn’t need to do that. So, it’s awkward but on the other hand since the people who care about the second amendment only care about your position on it, they don’t care if you hunt or target shoot or collect or don’t have any guns. They just want to know where you are politically. He's fine politically.”
    Maria Leavey Memorial Breakfast Series - Grover Norquist - Jun 14, 2007 (transcript)

    End..Norquist is a NRA BOARD MEMBER..or was at that time.

    Every year that Gov. Romney was in office he worked for and signed at least one pro-second amendment/pro-sportsmen bill into law. These actions were done in support of and in collaboration with the National Rifle Association Institute for Legislative Action (NRA-ILA), and its affiliate, the Gun Owner's Action League (GOAL):

    This is a myth propagated by the Boston Globe and other main-stream media outlets.
    Regarding the legislation the myth refers to, the NRA declared:
    “Here are just some of the points that the media (including The Boston Globe) got wrong...
    “Myth: The gun ban was extended...
    “Myth: The legislature somehow "won over" gun-rights supporters by including reforms.
    “Fact: NRA and Gun owners` Action League (GOAL) had made it very clear to the legislature that we would not give up any ground. NRA and GOAL supported this bill because it did not ban any guns, and because it made much-needed reforms.”

    SUMMARY/HISTORY:
    In 1998, Massachusetts passed a very restrictive, PERMANENT assault weapons ban along with many other very restrictive gun-control measures.
    Romney worked for and signed a new law that undid significant aspects of that restrictive old gun-control law.
    Gov Romney didn't have the votes to completely undo the permanent Massachusetts gun-ban, so he signed a new assault weapons ban that was less restrictive and that gave more gun rights.

    After Romney was politically attacked for not being in favor of new gun-control, he was asked if he was in favor of the gun-control passed in the previous five years. He said no. (Boston Herald.)

    “My research into presidential candidates has shown that Mitt Romney, while serving as governor in the liberal state of Massachusetts, upheld our conservative American constitutional laws/rights time and again. His voting record speaks for itself, and successfully passes the test for political integrity. Nowhere can I find any indication of impropriety or fraudulent activity.” (LiveToShoot, GunAndGame.com 28 Principles of Liberty)

    “In endorsing Governor Romney, Craig Sandler said, "Throughout his career in both the public and private sectors, Mitt Romney has demonstrated exceptional leadership ability, integrity, and commitment to principle. As a New Hampshire resident, former law enforcement officer, and avid sportsman, I am supporting Governor Romney because he is the candidate who will protect our Constitutional rights and strengthen our nation." ...
    “Craig Sandler Was The Executive Director Of General Operations For The National Rifle Association (NRA) From 1996 - 2005. Prior to that, he was the head of the NRA's Law Enforcement Activities Division (LEAD)

    "Keene, who endorsed Romney on Thursday, tells Newsmax that Romney is a “good conservative” and “the best of the bunch.” ...
    "Among conservatives, no one is more highly respected than Keene. As second vice president of the National Rifle Association, he will automatically become president of the organization in three and a half years...
    "On the major issues, Romney is “right on,” Keene said. “The most important thing with these candidates is, when they give you their word in a campaign, that word is credible.” "

    End

    How do you like Romney's endorsement from the banks?

    I'm sure he's loving their hundreds of thousands of dollars... :twisted:

    Romney was for the bailouts and I don't think there is a rebuttal for that. :)

    Wow, shows how much the NRA has compromised...

    But nice try.

    Here's the GOA grading:

    Ron Paul A+
    Rick Perry A
    Michelle Bachmann A
    Rick Santorum B-
    Newt Gingrich C
    Mitt Romney D-

    http://gunowners.org/2012presidential.htm

    Romney's own words:
    I don't recall the 2nd amendment mentioning recreation or self defense, what part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED does he not understand?

    Obama = Narcissistic, inept, complete failure.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    R. Paul = Goofy, perhaps racist (lol), with apparently no political accomplishments after 100 years.
    Gingrich = Deceitful, hateful, condescending prig.
    Santorum = Too accomplished, has done EVERYTHING (first), worked harder than anyone! LOL ...whatever!
    Bachmann = Would make a good running mate for R. Paul. (can you imagine the hissy cat fights?!). She does have "goofy" in common with him.
    Perry = Well, ... *sigh* ... Sorry, I can't bring myself to say it.
    Huntsman = ewwwww, mark my word, there's something hidden there.
    Gary Johnson = LOL Who?!
    Mitt Romney = Americas choice for the future!
    Funny.. I listed how those words are not the true intent or meaning that Romney knew the bill contained..Even that phrase that was a mistake in an effort to comfort the anti gun people after a positive win shows that Romney tried to SOOTHE wounds.
    IT WAS A WIN and your graph is False..
    FACT.
    here is the LIE and who they use to promote it,
    But this is the same Mitt Romney who, as governor, promised not to do anything to “chip away” at Massachusetts’ extremely restrictive gun laws.
    “We do have tough gun laws in Massachusetts; I support them,” he said during a gubernatorial debate. “I won’t chip away at them; I believe they protect us and provide for our safety.”[1]
    Even worse, Romney signed a law to permanently ban many semi-automatic firearms. “These guns are not made for recreation or self-defense,” Romney said in 2004. “They are instruments of destruction with the sole purpose of hunting down and killing people.”[2]
    Romney also spoke in favor of the Brady law’s five day waiting period on handguns. The Boston Herald quotes Romney saying, “I don’t think (the waiting period) will have a massive effect on crime but I think it will have a positive effect.”[3]
    End.
    they use the Boston Herald..NOT THE NRA OF MASS. COMPARE WHAT EACH SAYS.
    I like that the banks would know the difference of who promotes sound business decisions over a libertarian like Ron Paul.
    Banks are in the business to make MONEY ..not lending money to losers and Pot supporters/ users.:)
    President George Bush endorses Romney !
    From Texas.. Not for Perry..I wonder why ?
    http://www.bostonglobe.com/2011/12/...-choice-for/wx6UBuq1VILjG92arWJExL/story.html
    BERLIN, N.H. – Former President George H.W. Bush revealed today he is supporting Mitt Romney in his bid for the presidency, potentially adding further momentum to the former Massachusetts governor’s campaign.
    “I think Romney is the best choice for us,” the former President Bush told the Houston Chronicle. “I like [Texas Governor Rick] Perry, but he doesn’t seem to be going anywhere; he’s not surging forward.”
    On Romney, he was effusive.
    “He’s a fine person,” he said. “I just think he’s mature and reasonable – not a bomb-thrower.”
    End.
    I wonder why he didnt endorse that other Texan ..( I wont mention his name ) :)
    LOL. After reading this thread, it is clear to me that:
    A. Mitt Romney is Anti-Gun. I'm a bit shaky on the stance of NRA after they endorse a guy who doesn't want to "chip away" at gun laws. Also, signing an assault weapons ban, not good.
    B. Romney is being supported by the same people that supported Obama, IE the banks. Sounds like the banks like him. I am aware that the banks are the root cause of our problems.
    C. George Bush supports him. Enough said. I think Mr. Bush left a sour taste in America's mouth... Speaks VOLUMES on how Romney will act in office.
    D. Im not really seeing the American people in all of this...
    You bet..You took the bait.
    Gophers know all about poisoned bait.
    You used several quotes taken out of context and out right mis representation of facts.. and portrayed them as the reason not to support Romney.
    I showed the historical Facts..The where..why and when..and whom endorses Romney on guns.
    The historical facts could not be more clear..ON Guns..Romney is with every gun Group THAT COUNTS,Those in Mass. and the NRA of Mass.
    Not by some fringe anti Romney gun owner group. But by those who have done the hard work to preserve our gun rights.
    You use campaign lines back to 94 when a guy was running for office in the most liberal state in the Union.I used what he actually did running that state.
    As usual..the lowly gopher wins again. :)
