True. They never should have tried to be accomodating in the first place. To accomodate a foreign people, whose culture is so different from yours, that many of their routine behaviors are illegal acts, is ludicrous. Interesting what some husbands will do to show they are in charge of their families. Assault or battery in most country is a crime often a felony.

There are rules and laws. This is not like public school where you can do criminal things and not be accounted for, this is a country with laws.

I suspect the muslim woman in this story to be quite vigourously encouraged to wear the veil.

 

So not entirely similar but both unprovoked acts of violence. I'm pointing out that it's useless to condemn Muslims for this isolated act when people of all races/religions/beliefs do ugly things. How about all the American men who beat their wives/children? Is that relevant enough for you?

Complete and utter codswallop..or are you saying that an individual ignorant male, simply because he is Muslim, epitomises his religion as intolerant and bigoted.......while an appreciable number of Catholic paedophile priests, and the cover-ups, aren't taken as equating to all Catholics being beyond the pale and tolerant of unacceptable conduct....by anybody but bigots.....and the appreciable numbers of violent, intolerant settler Zionist Jews are not assumed to represent Judaism as a whole....by anybody but bigots.

When was the last time you read about incidents like mass shootings in American schools, malls etc being torn to bits on forums and blamed, not on societal reasons like American gun laws, but on the religion of those doing the shooting.....oh, yeah......that would have been the times a Muslim committed the crime.

When was the last time a serial killer in the UK or US had his religion provided as a reason for becoming a serial killer........nope.that ain't going to happen until the serial killers start being Muslim....a criminal's Christianity or whatever other non-Islamic religion, is not an issue,.....because nobody in Government and the media has spent the last ten years making their religion an issue.

In reality, you know, and I know, that no religion is completely black and white, however much you may try to make it appear so....and everybody interprets their religion in a way which suits their mindset. Religion does not form the mindset..the mindset forms the religion...so intolerant irrational people of any and all religions become fundamentalists........and the actions are those of that intolerant, irrational individual....not a result of their interpretation of their religion.

If coercion is involved then that is domestic abuse, is it not..and should be prosecuted, should it not.
