    I am not obligated to back up strawman claims about assertions I did not make.

    You on the other hand stated as fact: "Without Obama ... the economy would be recovering much faster"

    Your failure of proof shows it to be the baseless blather that it was expected to be.

    I am absolutely saying there were terrible employment numbers when he took office. I am absolutely saying they have turned around and are improving. I didn't say that he did anything, though one could certainly make the argument that the government stimulus Obama supported had a major impact.

    These measures say you are wrong:

    When Obama took office, the economy was tanking at a -9% real rate, losing 700,000+ jobs a month, unemployment was skyrocketing upward, and the stock markets were crashing in the worst recession in 80 years. The housing market was destroyed and we were headed straight for a depression.

    But now the economy has been growing steadily for more than two years, the private sector has created jobs every month for more almost two years, stock markets are up about 90% from their recession lows, and the unemployment rate has fallen from above 10% to 8.5%, and about 5 million private sector jobs have been added since Jan 2010.

    He also got a dog. Maybe that was the reason for the "improvements".

    Honestly I don't like Obama, but he seems to get way more blame for this then he deserves. Its not just Obama's fault, this is a country. Obama might be the face of this country but he can't work miracles. I'm not a Obama supporter cause personally I think he is a incompetent celebrity president that makes are country look ignorant, but to put all the blame on one person is asinine.

    You were the one who claimed Obama puts out false figures. I simply asked you what was false about the 399k figure which is the topic of this thread.

    Is there a three year forgiveness rule? Lets say things are better for arguments sake. Was the spending the reason? What can you say he has done recently?

    First of all...stimulus money takes time before the effects are seen.
    You see them now with rising employment and falling unemployment.
    That's not a case of "Lets say things are better for arguments sake." ITS A FACT!!!

    Was spending the reason? Yes...for the most part it was.

    Perhaps you wanna thank both Bush and Obama for saving your sorry asses?
