That's my takeaway from the SC primary.

Either that or you can commit any morally corrupt act you want and know beforehand that you will be 'redeemed'. In that case, Evangelicalism would not be a fraud. Just sick.

The point NOT being talked about is how the WOMAN practiced that religion while sleeping with a married man for 6 years in another woman's bed..

That NEWT was a Baptist.. so not only was it a raid on a marriage but a raid on another religion..
Then AFTER redemption SHE works for the agriculture committee running up a $400,000 bill while Newt was a CONSULTANT for Fannie and Freddie.

    SAME TIME PERIOD.

It was about MONEY..POWER and INFLUENCE and not a THING about making America BETTER.

I might think that religious group might RUN and HIDE from anybody doing that...

You're not redeemed automatically. You must be truly sorry, and for the right reason. And then, the gist of Christianity takes root- forgiveness.

If Newt has learned his lesson, that's all I ask of him. As a good judge of character, I believe he has. I may be wrong.

But Obama hasn't even ADMITTED to the underhanded way he has dealt with America, let alone seemed to me to be sorry for it. Therefore, that and his extreme spending make him, in my opinion, unfit for a second term.

Phoebe couldn't find the religion thread for this nonsense.

My take-away from South Carolina is that someone finally quit playing with the liberal media. I think the Republicans should tell all of the mainstream media to pound sand. They're covering Obama regardless so why bother with them.

So does that mean Fox news cant ask about newts past or corruption because if they do they will be sent to the warmer region ?

    SHEEP POO.

Newty said on CBS that ABC was the pro Romney wing just for asking that question.

Can you be MORE STUPID ?

That's pretty much it. Obama supporters are going to have a real hard time convincing sane Americans to vote for him again.

They can't go off his record and what he's done, it's too horrendous!

They can't attack the other candidates, since they all look like political saints compared to Obama.

They can't even use Obama's own words, since thanks to the Web, most anything Obama has said, can be proven a lie, by using his own words against him in video form!

This is why the GOP nomination is such an import event! 3 of the 4 left can beat Obama, so we need to choose wisely. The only one that can lose to Obama is Romney.

Tell that to Karla Faye Tucker. In the meantime, I believe there is a special place in gay hell for people like Gringrich.

My friend, it wasn't me who turned religion into politics. It was the Evangelicals and the Republicans. Nowhere moreso than in S. Carolina. And Evangelicalism has proven itself to be a fraud.

You say that in light of ALL the polls which show Obama beating Romney by 7%. The rest of your potentials are behind by double digits. Whistling past the graveyard, are we?

I know that many (so-called "Christians") abuse the label they sport. But those people who LIVE what they believe much more loudly than they SPEAK it... make sense to me.

There are many who want to impose religion (Christianity) upon others, while failing at nearly every turn to live as Christ did.

Hypocrites think they are getting away with being what they are; and they are almost always fooled into believing their hypocrisy is 'undetectable'.

No. The Teapublicans have been convincing many sane Americans to vote for Mr. Obama again.

You liberal hypocrites crack me up. Newt's checkered past with women won't affect his job. That's what you liberals shoved down our throats with your fellatio-fiend Clinton who told a bold-faced lie to the American people on national television.

Newt's personal faith is between him and God you-all should be ashamed of yourselves, all you are really doing is satisfying your own personal prurient desires.

No one must judge any particular person, to compare their words and life to that of Jesus Christ.

And really, if that is done... it isn't so difficult to see where anyone (including ourselves) have faults. Now, if one speaks as if they are something, when they are not... then that hypocrite exposes himself.

Why do you ask that particular question? (What do you say that "brain-dead" means?)

Anyone who actually fell for Obama's line of garbage and the actual dead whom the Democrat machine 'revived' in many voting precincts to cast a vote for Obama.

So, now it's about "Clinton"? I'm not talking about you, him or anyone else in particular.

Care to enlighten us as to how on God's green Earth Bush ever should have been president in 2000? If Obama's election was somehow a fraud, then W. was a sin against nature.

Yeah, I know you Democrats just can't believe that Bush won...despite all the left-wing corruption with its ballot box stuffing, jail votes and room-temperature voters. You are now 'enlightened'...

I know, but I try to pound sense into the zombie-like lefties because I am a compassionate conservative. I know it is probably a futile endeavor but it helps me understand the depths of insanity liberal-socialist-lefties are mired in.

Funny I didn't hear this when Christians voted for Obama when Obama sat in a racist church for 20 years and had ties to Farrakhan.

Sounds to me like this is another hate Newt thread.
