The court is already perceived as being a political institution because it is one. How could it not be given the issue oriented litmus tests both parties apply to nominees? How could it not be given McTreason's incomprehensible abuse of power in facilitating the court being packed with extremist conservatives? The perception will continue no matter Roe's fate.
