Being the wrong gender is a hot topic these days and this article explains what happens when the person changes his/her mind. It also points out that young kids come to believe they’re the wrong gender after being groomed on social media and by transgender activists.

If you look at the number of people who believe they’re not what their body tells them they are, then you’d have to think there’s more to it than people being born in the wrong body. Society has almost made it fashionable for a person to believe the one and only body they will ever have was given to them by mistake. I’m surprised the medical field hasn’t come down hard on this.

It should be illegal to do any sex change medications or change operations until one is at least 21 since the effects are so long lasting to permanent. Doing this to kids is pure perversion.

The prefrontal cortex of the human brain, which is fundamental to decision making, does not fully develop until 25. Teenagers really do not understand the gravity of these life-altering decisions. In my opinion, allowing your kid to take puberty blockers or undergo surgery in attempt to look like the opposite sex, which they will never be, is nothing short of child abuse. And shame on the Democrat posters on this forum who defend it.

I'm aware of it I'm also aware of studies out of Europe that tend to show that way transitioning appears to cause more problems than it solved.

 

Well, it's the dichotomy of it all, I suppose. I mean, we keep hearing that kids brains aren't fully developed until their twenties - it's the core reason why we have differences in sentencing when some kid does something under 18. Okay, but if we go with that, then we ALSO have to run under the assumption that anyone who is underage shouldn't be making these kindsa decisions, nor the adults presumable in charge of them.

 

Sometimes they are no easy answers - nor perfect solutions. Some transgenders regret the change. Some say it saved their lives.
But if Republicans want individual freedoms, and don't want to interfere with parental rights - then why are they trying to force
individuals to their moral code?

How many people would change one or more of their physical attributes if they could? If that's what makes "trans", then virtually everyone is and, thus, virtually no one is. The condition of wanting to be other than what nature dealt us is not exceptional nor remarkable. It doesn't require special consideration.
Everyone is entitled to the same rights (in a just system) even if everyone is not the same. Terms and situations do not have to be identical in order to have equality. Insisting on having one's 'reality' adopted by others is not mentally sound. Extending and expecting respect is one thing, demanding capitulation is another.

 

But that last is what you do the minute they begin to insist on having their own set of pronouns exclusive to themselves.

 

It's their life and body it is their choice.
