‘We’re Going Back To The Capitol’: Ex Trump Campaign Official Announces ‘Huge’ Protest
One Capitol police officer, Sicknick, died after returning to the station after the riot at the Capitol on January 6th, 2021. Four other Capitol officers committed suicide due to the riots. Two took their own lives before the week was out and two others committed suicide last month. Hundreds of officers were injured.

There was a civilian death and hundreds of arrest. Some of the rioters are still awaiting trials for sentencing. The first one to be sentenced received 8 months in prison. Some of them have been denied bail over concerns they may be flight risks.

Whatever you want to call what happened on January 6th...I think we can all agree things could have gone more smoothly than they did.

We hold ourselves up to be examples of democracy (let's not fight about that. We all know it's some form of capitalistic republic) priding ourselves on our freedom of speech and freedom of assembly.

So, let's hash it out. How can these people gather at the Capitol in support of their cause without us losing any more law enforcement or civilians?

    What do you think?

I predict Ashli Babbit is going to have a lot of company if they approach the Capitol steps.

I think it quite likely that FBI agents and informers were the Agents Provocateur on that day.

I think they'll be better prepared. And if violence does break out, they won't have an asterisk President* who supported them by not calling the national guard, like they did last time.

This is what the Capital Building should look like during this protest.

Yep, no way would this ever come anywhere as close as it did on 1-6. (Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.)

Possibly, but that doesn't absolve any other people that were involved.

Yes. That's how they rolled when anticipating BLM. How anybody can look at that compared to the law enforcement complicity on January 6, 2021 and claim that racism doesn't exist is something I will never understand.

Then, in an effort to downplay the seriousness of the Capitol riot, Senator Johnson said he wasn't concerned but would have been had it been Antifa and/or BLM outside that day.

Republican senator says he would’ve been afraid had Capitol rioters been BLM activists

Nope. That just gives them some reason to claim persecution. Do it by the book and put their fancy lad (and lasses) @sses in prison.

Given the "last time," I'd say Mr. Braynard is due a conversation with the FBI regarding his next rally plan.

I certainly don't agree with your claim that if a person who is committing a petty misdemeanor does respond to a lawful order that law enforcement has the authorization to shoot them dead.

I'll need a quote from you on that. I'm pretty sure it's not in my OP or subsequent posts in this thread.

I think it should be illegal to use those two names in the same sentence or Orange Jesus' name with any positive adjective.

Depends upon the circumstances. Someone walking through an open door and merely walking through the public areas of the Capitol Building would, IMO, be subject to a misdemeanor offense. Someone taking part in violently confronting police and in breaking and entering through a window to gain entry into the Speaker's Lobby of the House of Representatives chamber, wherein members of Congress still took refuge and challenging Capitol Police defending both the chamber and Congressional members and staff is a far more serious offense. The violent offenders will be hit with felony charges. Babbitt, as a former member of the military, should have known better. She was shot at around 3:07 PM. The first illegal entry into the Building was at around 2:15 PM. This entry (on the Senate side of the building) was known almost immediately by the President. We know this because of his telephone calls to Senate members and his subsequent call with House Minority Leader McCarthy. Had he taken immediate action and called for his supporters to leave the building, it is likely Babbitt would have left the building prior to her shooting. As both Senate and House Republican leadership (Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy) said the following day on the floors of their respective chambers, the President bears the responsibility for the riot and hence, her death, along with the others and injured.

Those people were on Twitter and pumped up to the max amongst themselves for about 3 weeks before Jan 6th.

The whole thing was a Twitter feed "#StopThe Steal"

They pumped each other up daily for weeks.

It's a claim you made previously.
Anyone who claims that it is wrong for a law enforcement to use lethal force in the absence of a reasonable fear of immediate fear of grave physical harm or death, is simply right on the facts. They need no long justification for a position firmly and deeply rooted in American history, law and jurisprudence. There is simply no justification for a law enforcement officer to issue a command to a person in the midst of committing a misdemeanor, and then SHOOTING THEM DEAD when they don't comply.

It is nothing short of stunning that you are unaware of this. I'm confident that this reckless and dangerous officer will be held to account once the GOP resumes control of the chamber.
