“Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) told Fox News on Thursday that he would "absolutely" support Donald Trump if the former president is the 2024 Republican presidential nominee.”

    https://www.axios.com/mcconnell-trum...7d16ab82b.html

And yet a little over two weeks ago Mitch crucified and condemned Trump, labeled him a threat to democratic institutions

Hypocrisy” - pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess, a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.”
    https://www.dictionary.com/browse/hypocrisy

    Classic Hypocrisy = Mitch McConnell

Should Biden even waste time attempting to work in a nonpartisan manner given that we can see now that the GOP leadership has their own political careers prioritized over the needs of the country?

Good... WHEW... it is no pleasant experience DEFENDING the Grim Reaper from even worse people...

But now my world makes sense again.

OTOH, what else is he really going to say here? He's somebody too old and set in his ways to leave or re-center the GOP, so he'll vote for who his voters are voting for...

What he should have said is "I'd vote for him if he's the nominee, but I'll be fighting like hell to avoid that scenario".

But then I'd have to not hate him again for 15 minutes, and that's a tough place for me...

I wonder what makes grown men like Graham and McConnell play doormat to Trump? Talk about putting yourself voluntarily into servitude. If I was them, I'd show him the finger and walk away. They won't be remembered well by history.

Could be, but Biden has never exhibited a complete void of principle as McConnell has here, has the man no dignity

And here we have blatant hypocrisy of the left.

If it's hypocritical of McConnell to support him if he's the GOP nominee, you must be beside yourself with Kamala Harris accepting VP after the things she said about Biden. Funny thing, I don't recall your condemnation or accusations of hypocrisy towards Kamala regarding her accepting VP....interesting.

That said, this is in no way hypocritical on McConnell's part. I'm sure he'd say he'd support the GOP nominee regardless of who it is. Just because they may not get along, doesn't mean that can't support each other in politics....the left does it all the time, I've only outlined 1 instance. What about Bernie supporting Clinton....she royally screwed him over and he turned around and supported her.

This happens all the time......thanks for pointing out something that literally happens over and over and over again and it normal in politics.

    Apples and Oranges

Harris never said in front of a national audience on the Senate floor that Biden represented a threat to the very institutions and procedures that support our democratic form of Government.

Not just the politics as usual you are portraying, six people died on January 6th, the VP was threatened, Constitutional processes halted, the Capitol invaded, and Mitch immediately lay the blame solely on Trump, and now, just two weeks later, says he would “absolutely” support Trump if he ran again in 2024

This doesn’t “happen all the time “

Well, even though it is the usual “whataboutism,” I’ll play, give us vivid examples where Biden exhibited a lack of principle comparable to Mitch’s

Don't recall Kamala or Bernie accusing Biden and Clinton of being responsible for a failed insurrection against their country, but OK....

You have a long way to go to understand the concept of equivalencies....

You have no understanding of the situation. What you see as "Trumpism" has nearly nothing to do with Trump. He was simply smart enough to read the current and paddle with it. The fight here is between us the citizen and those that claim to represent us, but who actually serve the Kingdom of DC, not the folks that elected them. Your fight isn't with Trump. Your fight is with us.

Unlike the Left which has been repeatedly robbed of Bernie, their choice, twice, our representatives fear us, as they should. They serve at our pleasure. On the Left, you guys only have a pretense of self-rule with the super-delegates and the fixed primary system. Your "leadership" steals your lunch money, gives you an atomic wedgie followed by a swirlie and you guys show up next election cycle and ask for more. Not so, here on the Right. We will cashier frauds.

Mitch McConnell, you revealed yourself. We will never forget. Can you see which fingers are sticking up?

BACKPEDALING AS QUICKLY AS HE CAN: Mitch McConnell Makes Surprise Announcement on Trump’s Potential 2024 Presidential Bid.

Using your logic no two situations are ever comparable because no two situations are identical.

Also, Mitch also now probably realizes that trump in no way caused the riots on Jan 6th.

Sorry, but yea, politicians support politicians for office that they don't agree with all the time. This is absolutely nothing new.

So if you accuse someone of causing an insurrection (that Mitch probably now knows is flat out not true) you can't say you'll support someone politically in the future?

But, if you think someone is a racist and sexual predator, it's ok to become their VP? I just love your TDS.....makes for great entertainment.

Biden in the Soft Box would still think he was in the Oval Office. Put one of these in there with him and he'll still think he's in Charge.

You have to be pretty feeble intellectually to fall for this clown. Anyone who did needs to do some serious self evaluation.
