It'd only be a coup if it was being instigated by the Vice President since he's the one who would take over. Anyone else would still have to be elected to become the next President regardless. You're free to consider the process wrong for some reason but calling it a "coup" is just lazy rhetoric. I guess that makes good money for the writers though.

Mark Zaid actually tweeted the word, "COUP." And now we have an inquiry about the whistleblower and a, "Go Fund Me," page.

I guess that Zaid didn't realize that a CIA agent can't set up an attorney funding page.

But at some point, I do hope that Schiff will get to a point where it all circles back on him. Pelosi is more interested in self preservation so Adam may have to fend for himself if the DOJ ever takes a good look at his witness tampering.

    18 U.S. Code 2384 Seditious Conspiracy

“If two or more persons in any State or Territory, or in any place subject to the jurisdiction of the United States, conspire to overthrow, put down, or to destroy by force the Government of the United States, or to levy war against them, or to oppose by force the authority thereof, or by force to prevent, hinder, or delay the execution of any law of the United States, or by force to seize, take, or possess any property of the United States contrary to the authority thereof, they shall each be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than twenty years, or both.”

    (June 25, 1948, ch. 645, 62 Stat. 808; July 24, 1956, ch. 678, § 1, 70 Stat. 623; Pub. L. 103–322, title XXXIII, § 330016(1)(N), Sept. 13, 1994, 108 Stat. 2148.)

The corruption is so rampant within the Washington establishment environment that Barr will have to make some tough decisions as to who he will have the time and resources to go after.

At this point, the Dems are foolish to think that waiting it out until after the 2020 election will actually work. This inquiry is almost assuring that Trump will get re-elected.

It might help if you actually knew what a coup is.

There is nothing subtle or clever about this crude attempted coup. The plotters have already confessed.

"Attorney Mark Zaid, who represents the intelligence officer who blew the whistle on Trump’s July 25 call with his Ukrainian counterpart, was reacting to Trump’s firing of then-Acting Attorney General Sally Yates, who had refused to enforce the president’s proposed Muslim ban.

“#coup has started. First of many steps. #rebellion. #impeachment will follow ultimately. #lawyers,” Zaid tweeted on Jan. 30, according to a Fox News report.

The president at the raucous rally in Monroe — ostensibly an appearance to support GOP gubernatorial candidate Eddie Rispone — quoted the article, which reported that Zaid had long called for Trump’s impeachment."

    Have we no grand juries?

Now that the constitutional process has entered its public phase, the facts that most Americans agree that Trump stinks, and a plurality approve of the constitutional responsibility being respected, are irrelevant.

Hyper-partisan politicos are now relegated to strident clamoring, as the considered, non-partisan testimonies of dedicated public servants, under oath, become the proper focus.

The substance of their insights must not be impacted by the inevitable dung-flinging at them by those whose desperation drives them to that last resort.

Ideally, others in the Trump regime would be eager to share their privileged perspectives, but they are being gagged in an attempt to hide what they know.
