How long can the Country survive in this combative atmosphere? It has been 10 years since we have had a Congress that was cooperative and able to pass meaningful legislation. IMO it began with healthcare legislation in 2010, when the democrats passed Obamacare(PPAC) without giving it proper consideration including lack of input by private practice doctors/surgeons and administrative personnel. They rushed to pass it while they could . ignoring the Republicans. So when Republicans took back the House they reciprocated and now likely this seesaw will continue. One side has to give and be the better Party. And voters will likely reward them if they listen to ALL of us and not just their base. All citizens need the same basic things from their government. It is the Cable News, both liberal and Conservative that have put all their energy toward trying to divide us, putting words in our mouths and representing what they think as what we think. Enough. Trump owes no one and stands on his own. He doesn't play the game and that is why the media hates him.
It will be settled when the left either abandons the notion that America should be a european style socialism with a new constitution (or no constitution), or we have a civil war about it. I don't think theres a third option at this point.
It's happening all over the world. In Australia we've had 5 Prime Ministers in 5 years. Prior to this era of instability we had a PM and treasurer for a decade.
