The bottom line here is that there is no significant external threat to the Homeland. In fact the biggest threat is from lone wolf terrorist actors and not nation states - and we have had these for decades.

What then necessitates taking away our liberty over fear of external threat ? Where is this massive enemy massing on our borders such that we need to cower in fear "begging" to give up essential liberty over fear of this external threat.

The reality is that we have never been safer from external threats. When the wall fell and the cold war ended, this created a big problem or the military industrial complex. There is not much money to be made for the military industrial complex and international financiers (bankers) in times of peace.

The reality is that it is the US that has been going hard trying to re-ignite the cold war and the job of our Media (owned by these same international financiers) is to manufacture fear.

So where is this massive scary threat to our security and liberty. Should we be on our knees begging to give up essential liberty over a risk of harm that is 400 times less than the risk of harm from "Walking" ?

What happened to "Give me liberty or Give me Death" ? How did we go from there to "It is our Patriotic Duty to give up essential liberty" ?

Ramping up the "fear factor" has been very profitable. In 2000 Total Military Spending was roughly 300 Billion.

After 8 years of fear mongering during the Bush administration TMS exceeded 900 billion and went over 1 Trillion under Obama.

Had we maintained 2000 spending levels (increasing with inflation) - more than enough to defend the homeland from the scary boogyman, we could have diverted 500 Billion x 16 years = 8 Trillion dollars
to infrastructure, technology and ramping up our economy to compete in the 3rd millennium.

Instead we threw this money down the toilet by fighting useless wars which had no purpose but to fill the coffers of the international financiers.

Interest on our debt is 450 Billion/year. Over 16 years this is another 7 Trillion that can be added to the total.

What is our plan now ? Increase military spending further ! For what purpose ?

I do not mean to only rag on the MIC. The healthcare oligopolies (also owned by the international financiers) are another massive problem. Then we also have the other oligopolies (Energy, Food and so on)..... and the fact that the people are kept in check by the fact that the MSM is also owned by the international financiers .. an MSM which spews state propaganda day in day out to keep the raging masses in line.

This is not some Orwellian fantasy of the future.... this is right here ...right now.

What is unbelievable is what they are trying to teach children in Germany. I know there was a family in Germany that wanted to home school and the government wouldn't allow it. They finally came to the US. Let's see though how long before the government starts trampling on our own religious freedoms. They're starting to do it now with the Christian baker who refused to make a cake for a homosexual marriage.

This is why Putin has invited and is giving free land to all Slavs and ethnic Russians who want to retain their religious and traditional values. The invitation though should include converts as well - there are quite a few in the US.
