I'm torn here. On the one hand we know this vaccine cant stop transmission and the latest information shows a terrible drop in efficacy to prevent illness against the latest variants. On the other hand these are soldiers being given an order no one has proven is unlawful, and if there's a fair chance a vaccine keeps them combat ready then they should take it because the last thing we need is a weak military (not that we aren't doing everything we can to make that happen anyways).
What exactly does 'axed' mean? Are we talking 'your services are no longer required' axed, or 'now you have a criminal record' axed? It speaks volumes that the army doesnt care that its 'readiness' will be far more depleted by losing all these soldiers at once than it ever would by a few of them being out with the flu...
Seems pretty stupid to get rid of these soldiers for such a mundane reason. But, that’s their choice. If the army wants to get rid of good soldiers over moronic reasons and those soldiers are willing to fall on their swords then so be it. Hopefully in the future more rational heads will prevail and get those removed for such a stupid reason justice and compensation.

It isn't the flu, it's a FAR more deadly disease that will spread and kill all the other soldiers others who have legitimate conditions that prevent their being vaccinated. And anyone who still doesn't want the vaccine is probably undeployable anyway since they can't be vaccinated to be sent overseas anyway
