If you think I am a liberal you clearly haven't seen many of my posts.

I did not say I would not allow my children access to firearms, I said I wouldn't leave it accessible, just as I don't leave bottles of bleach lying around without their caps.

I might, by contrast, have my children clean the shower with bleach, or take them to the range at an appropriate age and show them how to shoot safely and responsibly.

Is that a leftist position? I doubt it. I am, indeed, very supportive of the right to keep and bear arms.

 

Notice how the big government types (otherwise known as liberals or socialists) call AR-15 rifles weapons of war yet they want the cops to have these same weapons of war. Not only the local cops and traditional Federal law enforcement, but almost every Federal agency.

This is a good time to point out that liberals like to point to police spokespersons supporting gun control, apparently ignorant of the fact that Federal (Law Enforcement Safety Act) and State law (see below) exempts retired police from gun control laws.

Last time I checked, no Kentucky cities have people CRAPPING on their streets, nor would Kentucky's citizens put up with such disgusting behavior. Heck, even in the hollers they dig a hole and build an outhouse! Newsflash: poverty is relative, and it will ALWAYS be with us. Telling other people what they should be doing while holding one's nose in the air with a sense of superiority, however, is fixable, but only if one is self-aware. Let me ask this question. If the 14 year old girl was your daughter in your house would she have been able to access a gun for self defense? If the answer is yes you are for sure not a liberal. Otherwise the jury is out as I don't recall any of your previous posts.

For purposes of discussion, lets stipulate that the girl is sound emotionally has mature judgement and intelligence.

Assault weapons are capable of full-auto or burst fire. Semi-auto weapons are not assault weapons.

The Vegas shooter used bump stocks, which do allow a semi-auto to mimic an assault weapon.

Bump stocks have now been outlawed.
