185 killed in Sri Lanki Jihad Easter Bombings

    Well, well, well, one again the Religion of Peace demonstrates just how uncivilized they truly are.

    Sri Lanka Terror Attack LIVE: Six explosions ripped through Sri Lanka’s churches and popular hotels on Sunday morning, with authorities saying 185 people were feared dead. Worshippers were targeted at the Kochikade, St Sebastian and Batticaloa churches during Easter mass. The other locations are Hotel Shangri La, Cinnamon Grand and Kingsbury hotel.

    The blasts occurred at around 8.45am (local time) as the Easter Sunday masses were in progress in churches, police spokesman Ruwan Gunasekera said….

    Two of the six attacks that rocked Sri Lanka this morning are reportedly to be have been carried out by suicide bombers. The attack at Shangri La hotel was carried out by suicide bomber Zahran Hashim, while Abu Mohammad has been identified as the attacker at the Batticalao church….

    When are the good people of the world going to wake up and realize these creatures need to be exterminated or at least isolated.

    And the only reason Christians are "nice" in the 21st century is because they have no choice. Look at what Christians did when in power. Consider the Inquisition. Consider witch trials.

    Where did Jesus say to do those things? You're statistically far more in danger under an atheist government, the body count is 100,000,000+ by some estimates.

    Yeah, I gotta agree with Paul7 here. You can respect the integrity of posters here who will disparage religion of any type. I dunno exactly if @FreedomSeeker is on the left but he has no problems disparaging Judaism, Christianity, or Islam. But I've noticed many on the left here seem reticent to condemn Islam and always wondered why. There's one pretty hardcore feminist on this board who never condemns Islam when the subject comes up but when there's a Christian involved, hoo-boy! That or she'll deflect onto Christians behaving badly. Like I said, it's kind of strange. And it's 100% gonna happen here too, probably within ten posts of mine.

    With the current state the Islamic world is in Muslims are more at risk, numerically speaking, than any other group in being killed or marginalized on the basis of their religion. In China, India, Myanmar, Europe, Israel and Palestine, and potentially Russia, Muslims are discriminated against and/or under the threat (or actual reality) of state violence. Meanwhile, Muslim and especially Arab countries are the geopolitical battlegrounds, where countries like the US, France, Turkey and Russia have taken to pursuing their interests by destabilizing these already teetering countries.

    I don't believe that Islam should be spared criticism or reproach, but as a matter of political fact these criticisms from Westerners tend to be the result of ahistorical xenophobia. That is an important fact that must be, and is, recognized.

    The idea of analyzing the present without including the past in that analysis is beyond absurd.

    When it comes to the role that religious doctrine does or doesn't play in political violence the benefits of looking at both Christian and Islamic history are more than obvious.

    This is news of a barbaric attack and the Koranimals who did it, not an analyzation of various religions, but that was a nice attempt to derail a thread.
