As a KC fan, I love being able to watch our offense score points like that. Haven't seen that since Trent Green and Tony G. I am concerned if these contests are actual tests or if this will be one of those years where we go 'yeah we thought they were good pre-season'

Ugh. Last thing anyone wants is the Pats getting MORE weapons.

Pats lost a lot of weapons. If Hogan is your number 1 wideout...you need help. The Jags game proved it. Gronk was double (sometimes triple covered) forcing PD and Hogan to make plays. They just couldn't quite help Brady out.

That said, HANDS DOWN to that Jags defense. Bortles will never play a game better than he did yesterday. He played out of him mind. Hats off to him for that.

Bortles is just entering his prime - what we saw yesterday was just a glimpse of his potential.

I'm all-in for the Jags - I think this could finally be their year...

I'm not. I think he's good. But he's got split personalities. I wouldn't go all in on him. I'd go all in on his defense for sure. But he, will not put up numbers like that all season.

He had a GREAT game, but he's still Blake Bortles and he loves throwing into triple coverage.

    Time will tell.

There's no doubt his defense is the greatest, IMO.

THE BROWNS! What a game. Hyde showing why he is their RB1 and Baker looking like a god among men to Cleveland fans.

Congrats Cleveland, it's been 645 days since you have won a game.

I will have a beer for you guys tonight.

If you think about it, the Browns could win their division...At least have a shot. I personally think the Bengals are not for real. The 2 game hype will get washed away like it always does.

Who knows? The beauty if it only being week 3!

As for Darnold, I think people shouldn't lose hope in him. The Jets organization as a whole stinks, but he's got the leadership any team needs. He took all the blame for their loss. Not his defense, but himself. Too bad he's on the wrong team.

Now that they've got a decent QB they're not the awful team they were in recent years.

Hue Jackson might keep his job yet...

I think they finally have the linebacker scheme worked out. They've had talented people on defense but never used them right. Last night, at least from my prospective, they looked great. Started slow but they designed sneaky plays in the second half.

I think none of that has to do with Jackson, as I believe he's retarded. But I'm proud of the Dawgpound for dishin the heat on the Jets.

That being said...the Jets suck lol

The Jets do suck - I can't bring myself to watch them play.

I don't know if you saw this but Bob Riggle did the funniest comedy sketch ripping the Jets last year - it's a spinoff of Steven King's "It":

Well, he did admit the loss was his fault as he panicked and threw for 2 INTs in the final 1 1/2 minutes.

Close game, disappointing outcome. But kudos to the Dawgs for their win.

I lost it when I heard that line, too.

"I think we can go 6-10 this year. Not too shabby, eh? AHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!"

    "BWAAAAAAAAH Leave us alone!!"

LOL - Riggle's best skit ever...

What game are you excited for? I think the Browns winning a game for the first time in over 600 days takes the cake! lol

    Chiefs vs SF.

For games that have an overall impact I gotta say the Browns winning is pretty cool. Hopefully Mayfield continues to shine like he did, they certainly need a QB to actually work out for them.

    That is funny.

The Rams look primed for a deep run this year - I could see them and the Jags in the Super Bowl. Both teams have championship caliber defenses.

IMO, neither team will make it to the SB. Both have great defenses and talented run games, but their QBs are not elite.

Then again, Joe Flacco won a SB...lol

good to see all this activity on the forum - this after certain pundits said the NFL was dead and that no one would take any interest in the game this year

By the way, Forbes reported that NFL valuations have gone UP this year which proves again that the prophets who said the league was nearing death are themselves dead wrong. ;)

    So did Trent Dilfer.

And while I loved Brad Johnson - he was a total warrior - he wasn't an elite QB.

Payton Manning wasn't that awesome with the Broncos, either. Von Miller and the Denver D pretty much won that game on their own (I'm still in awe of Miller's performance).

You're right - it's still early in the season but at this point I don't think Goff and Bortles could be considered elite.

Who do you think is goin' to the Supe?

(Maroon 5 is going to be the HT "entertainment" - somebody shoot me...)

Honestly, I can't make a prediction at this point that would hold any value. I can't even figure out who's going to win most divisions.

If I had to guess, I'd say the Pats and Eagles for a repeat. Probably not the most popular guess lol

It's a great game that I enjoyed playing in my youth. I'm sure a lot of fans agree with me that whatever their feelings about the controversy surrounding the NFL (which I refuse to wade into here) I'm not going to let that ruin my love for the game.
