I love how much effort leftists spend trying to convince everyone they're intelligent.

Hang that Gender Studies degree high and proud.

Didn't we just have a thread about states with the highest percentage of people who didn't complete 9th grade? And didn't lib states lead the pack? If lib states are so smart, then why is California dropping exit exams if they haven't already done so? The story goes select groups can't pass the exams because reading and adding numbers is racist. I don't buy it, I think they're just dumb.

Once again, LW TRAVEL SITE wallethub, utterly debunked and discredited as a reliable source of anything other than airline fares, is used by gullible Leftits to salve their insecurities about being the ones who win the lowest income echelons in almost every election.

Protip: Income correlates far more with true education level than measures of "which states have the most teachers and bureaucrats who get paid in lockstep for plastering their walls with junk diplomas in whatever from wherever."

They think getting a degree in something stupid proves they're smart.

Did it occur to you that those states at the bottom have a disproportionate share of the demographic that nationwide obtains the least educational achievement, the demographic that votes 90% Democrat?

So what's your point about voters and educational achievement?

Can’t say I’m surprised as to which states are the least educated.

Who exactly thinks this? Do you have proof of all of these people who “think getting a degree in something stupid proves they’re smart”?

The problem is that one can become an expert in art appreciation or transgender studies and be considered 'more highly educated' than someone who can plow fields, build houses or fix cars.

'Educated' isn't a very meaningful term.

I have a BA - Fine Arts. While that $40K piece of paper did get me hired over the other guy who didn't have one, my life experience of working in the construction field and building/fixing my own stuff gave me the skills I needed to keep and accel at that job, not my degree.

Yeah, because incurring a $50k+ debt with no ability to repay it, sure is a sign of intelligence!

That's your trailer trash thinking, right there.

No, they really do. I've seen poseurs with BAs trash talk plumbers. While making the plumber his $7 coffee.

People who arrive at middle-age and haven't got a solid career, or "a pot to piss in, and a window to throw it out of" that they OWN, don't impress me much. Even less impressive are those who live paycheck-to-paycheck, sucking "subsidies" and other welfare off the government! A lot of these highly-educated 'bust-out's' advocate hyperliberal ideas, handout-welfare, and Socialism.

    All
of them that I'm familiar with are those who majored in Liberal Arts at college.... I rest my case! But, I'm sure they made good grades...! 8)

Get a degree in 'basket-weaving' and you'll probably scratch a poor man's ass for the rest of your life! :roflol:

People who start threads to tell us how smart they are.

    Always leftists.

Browse the forum for plenty of examples.

I’d rather enter the apocalypse with a plumber or electrician who didn’t go to college, than you’re average gender studies doctorate. There are plenty of completely useless people doing nothing wortyhwhile who studied through their 30s because they were too afraid to enter the real world. Lots of education but no skills at all.

Intelligence and education are not the same thing. There is no shortage of educated derelicts and many successful people never completed high school. I suppose you will try to make a point that someone who works hard and takes care of family is dragging our country down when they could have had a Liberal Arts degree and really be a credit to our great country.

You really expect me to believe that you heard multiple baristas trash talk multiple customers who happen to be plumbers? Others might fall for that kind of bull crap but not me.

If there are plenty of examples you should have no problem providing links to some, right?

There's nothing wrong with arts, culture, beautiful music, literature, and all the other refinements of higher-order civilization. But, FIRST, one should make certain that he/she can support himself/herself in a comfortable, secure, self-sufficient manner.

It's hard to get some big 'buzz' on about 'superiorly' contemplating Beethoven's "Eroica" Symphony when in the back of your mind you're sweating making next month's rent or a half-dozen credit card payments. That is one of the first things the "education" process taught me... before I earned a Bach. of Science degree w/honors, from the University of Texas at Austin....

You still haven’t shown what you claimed. Allow me to remind you what you claimed...
“People who start threads to tell us how smart they are”
No one who started those threads told anyone “how smart they are”.

    From the OP....
“You know Trump country is going to be in the least educated?!!

How did your state fare? We really need to invest in education too, it's a good investment for the future too!”

Nothing about the person telling anyone about how smart he or she is.
