Cursive writing was a nightmare for me. I have awful co-ordination and could barely hold a pencil in the right way (seriously). My handwriting is, objectively, the most awful thing in the world and I am so glad that I no longer have to make a fool out of myself - thank you computers!

Another thing they should have put on the list is “journalism”.

Not the insightful list I expected.

Calculators are still in use, you would be surprised how many places don't allow smart phones or places where a smart phone doesn't make sense to carry.

Cursive is still taught in many schools. Writing by hand has not gone away, plus cursive teaches fine motor skills and is for many people much faster than typing.

    jesus what a terrible list.

busy signal, just got one last week calling a customer
computer labs, the university has one, so does the library (yes we still have libraries)
fax machine, use it every day
dot matrix, my wife uses every day, so does my car rental place, its the best way to print triplicates w/o printing stuff 3 times.
phone sex ads, just saw one while waiting for my hair cut in the back of a magazine
landlines, every business I can think of.
dialup, still used in remote area's, more common than you think
just got lost in Olympic national park
case binders, have one in my glove compartment, for my car cd changer
    cursive, really?
    calculators, use one every day.

That's half of the list.... the author is probably early 20's and did zero research or is a middle aged idiot in a bubble somewhere.

I only finished the "list" because it was so bad it was worth critiquing.
