- 19% of millennials believe that the American flag is “a sign of intolerance and hatred”

As for the US. I used to admire the patriotism I saw in the 70's and 80's and used to admire the US in general. I had no real interest in US politics or politics in general.

I didn't really have a problem with the first gulf war accept for the unnecessary massacre on the retreat to Baghdad. Then came the second Gulf war which started to change my beliefs after researching US foreign Policy from 1946. I saw that the US are the greatest cause of wars in the world, the biggest hypocrites and the greatest terrorist nation in the world.

Then came Obama. The racism publicly demonstrated against him becoming President was disgusting. Then a new person came along, Trump. I did not know Trump. I did not like Hilary Clinton so was willing to give Trump my support from afar. That did not last long. Trump is a manipulative liar who will do anything to achieve division and conflicts for his own gain no matter who or what he walks over. And gullible Trump supporters have blindly fallen for his lies

 

Most millennials believe that Mars (mean surface temp -82 F., low -226 F., max 95 F., and with its thin, dusty atmosphere being 96% C02 and having mere traces of oxygen) is going to be colonized. They are very upset that Bill Nye the Science Guy has been honest and told them that it is never going to happen.

If accurate, these poll results are sad. America is a fantastic country with a proud history, and racism was almost entirely eradicated until we elected Obama, ironically the biggest racist of them all. In that regard maybe young people are right to think Obama had a bigger impact than George Washington, because Obama set race relations back half a century ---- and we're still dealing with the impact of his race-baiting, white-hating, identity politics today. Good job Obama, you and your ilk brainwashed nearly half of young Americans that America is "more racist than other countries" and one in five young people now think our flag is "a sign of intolerance and hatred".

This shows how poor the quality of education is in this country, and how far reaching of an impact the mainstream media has on young minds.

I suppose the silver lining is that 81% of millennials do not think the flag is a "sign of intolerance and hatred", nearly 2/3 agree "American has a history that we should be proud of" and 7/8 recognize American is a great country.
