I've found people stuck under vehicles like that.

What are the odds? But things happen in quakes.

BALLOT HARVESTING just like how a hodad now represents Surf City behind the Orange Curtain.

Allowing people to register and cast a vote after the polls have already closed helped a lot.

The California Democratic party paid non citizens including illegal aliens $20 per hour to harvest ballots for Democratic candidates.

Ballot harvester in #CA25 Santa Clarita CA picking up "only people who are supporting the Democratic party" and "showing you how to fill out"

Democrat campaign workers caught trying to collect vote-by-mail ballots in California

On May 10, 2018 campaign workers for California State Senator Josh Newman were knocking on Fullerton voters' doors and convincing them to hand over their vote-by-mail ballots for the recall election.

It is extremely unethical for political campaign workers to collect and handle election ballots. In fact, this is called "ballot harvesting" and is illegal in many states.

California Democrats removed the prohibition on this unethical practice 2016 with the AB-1921.

In a leaked internal communication on May 14, Democrat operatives from the "Indivisible CA" movement admitted to using this technique in the Fullerton area.

Your ballot should only be handled by you, official poll workers or the US Postal Service.

Ballots handled by others may be subject to theft, loss or tampering. If you made the mistake of handing your official ballot to a campaign worker, please contact your County Registrar of Voters to make sure that your ballot was counted. If your ballot was not processed, please ask the Registrar for a new ballot and report the issue to the local police.

If the ballot harvester was an illegal alien working for the Democratic party, the illegal alien will not be prosecuted because he's protected under California's sanctuary laws.

Kinda looks like I'm going to have to take better precautions the next time I jack up my vehicle and put it on stands when I have to work underneath my vehicle.

Orange county is getting crazier by the day. Now kids wear "costumes and speedos" while surfing directly into each other. Must be the Democrats fault, huh?

I think it has to do with longboards.
    It looked just like 1966.

By 69 I had already transitioned to a shortboard.

May explain why I never surfed in the Nam or was a member of the China Beach Surf Club, there were only longboards available.

    And Charley didn't surf.

Imagine if you are doing rock climbing. ;)

I hear there was another one today, magnitude 4.4.
But surprisingly steady so far. Looks like the Earth is calming down. :)

It was a 4.4 aftershock that was 6 miles deep.
I didn't feel it, I was on the road.
But many throughout SoCal felt it.

The Democrats progressive experiment has destroyed the former best state in the country.

From being # 1 to becoming the first third world state in America.

Medieval diseases, gangs, corruption, crime, crumbling infrastructure, out-of-touch wealthy elites …

"Soft tops" are safer but fiberglass boards perform better. I grew up when surfers didn't wear wetsuits.

It may have unlocked two opposing plates allowing them to "slide"
making a less disruptive release of energy.

Scientists: Movement Detected Along California Fault That Could Cause an 8-Magnitude Earthquake

After the biggest earthquake to hit Southern California in 20 years struck in July, a powerful fault line that could cause a magnitude 8 earthquake began moving, scientists say.

In a study published Thursday in the journal Science, researchers from the California Institute of Technology along with NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory said a part of the Garlock fault slipped after being triggered by the series of earthquakes in the Ridgecrest area. The fault runs 185 miles east to west from the San Andreas Fault to Death Valley. Scientists found that it has slipped 0.8 inch (or about 2 centimeters) near its surface since July.

Researchers were able to record the movement for the first time through satellite imagery and seismometer data. The discovery marks the first observation, through modern recording tools, of the fault’s “creep,” which is the slow movement of a fault. . . .

Of course they sell the disaster aspect and not the benign release of geo energy.

Apparently the new "earthquake warning system" failed to see quakes on its first day. Another sham.

And the power outages-they say that could last for the next 10 years.

After the July quakes in Ridgecrest, I posted several observations, and predictions about the Garlock Fault. Now, it's news. :confuse:

The Garlock Fault is very unusual in several respects, and I won't go into all that again, mainly because nobody gives a sh*t. Fair enough.

But believe this -- if the Garlock breaks at its juncture with the San Andreas (do I have your attention NOW?), then that will set the stage for all hell breaking loose.... Just one more reason to be glad you aren't living in California.... Oh, and if you own property there, you may want to consider selling it NOW and getting the hell out. Even if your property isn't destroyed, your taxes are going to go up even far higher than they are, and, you will probably never be able to buy insurance on your home again!

One other tantalizing thing to ruminate on, too... ever heard of the Hayward Fault? Ooh... now, imagine the San Andreas setting the Hayward off (which runs directly under the belly of Oakland). They meet at the far southern portion of the Bay Area. And when the San Andreas broke in 1906, it only added an enormous extra degree of strain on the Hayward....

Think of it this way -- if you aren't a homeless bum, a marijuana dreamer, or a flaming, Socialist-Democrat, you've not no rational reason to want to live in California anyway. So, again, consider GETTING OUT! But, please don't come to Colorado -- we've got too damned many ex-pat Californians here now and it is f*cking our whole state up.

I Live In The Greatest State of California and am a homeowner in "The O.C.".
Probably situated at the south end of the Newport Inglewood fault.
Yes California has its' faults and they prevent earthquakes from traveling as far as say those Midwest earthquakes. They act as shock absorbors when some nearby fault has a tantrum
Creeping faults are less likely to provoke tantrums, I betchya.
But the "news" does better making it sound dangerous.

Would you rather a creeping fault or one storing up energy for a major "tantrum"?
