    So what is it about this mass shooting that's undeserving of national focus? It's getting some coverage, but it's pretty much just a blip on the radar. Is it the lack of death? Is it because it doesn't have much value in the way of politicization?

    They are not serious about putting people with illegal weapons, that is, convicted felons in possession of weapons in jail.

    That's all just for the sound bytes. That's just for the plotitics.

    MD had some of the strictest gun laws in the nation. Also one of the most gerrymandered states in our nations history. The people’s voice is being suppressed and that allows the Cummings of the world to remain in power and allow this

    Or maybe there aren’t enough details yet because it says the shooter is still at large, and the media will broadcast it as it develops? It’s pretty simple.

    What we do know is that yet another shooting occurred because people abuse guns as tools to solve their issues and it happened at some kid’s birthday party.

    I mean what the media does. If any gun shooting suspect is white then the left, the democratic city gov't and the liberal media infatically make sure to IMMEDIATELY announce the race of that suspect. They make sure racism and white supremacy are a part of the reporting. If the suspect is other than white then the shooting is blamed on typical everyday inner city violence that is completely acceptable and ignored. Has Rep Cummings spoke or tweeted about this? And what about the nearly exact same story in St Louis? Only an 8 year old girl died from gun shot wounds.

    Well just from the Chief of Police's comment about a felon being in possession of a gun is proof that the police know exactly who the suspect is yet won't release any information.

    No deaths and there was something similar at a kids birthday party in Texas and or California or some other place not long ago.
    This crap is getting so frequent that people and the media are sadly getting immune to these types of cases. You better believe it that here this forum if that happened in Chicago certain member here would be flocking to it like flies to dog poop. Jumping on Chicago is for political purposes only since the types who bring up Chicago do it only for political purposes not out of concern for the dead or injured.

    Since this in MD and we had the flap over Baltimore a case like this gets extra attention here at the Forum. Right!

    Possibly, but if I had to wager I'd say it's because there's nothing for progressive media to politicize in this case.
