    I read the link Chrisl and the thread, it's weird because I know you and don't even consider you to be a conservative..heck even I am not a conservative.. but what you posted like I did here in my OP is so true..

    No one grows up a conservative, we all grow up a liberal and in time with wisdom we can see how lefty's can't figure anything out of their own box they created..

    just look at the title which, like so many threads created by forum right wingers, makes an assumption and goes with it as if it was true

    tell you what - if I made a thread with the same title but targeted right wingers, how soon would it be deleted? think it would last very long before it is blocked??

    PolitIcally they are naive. I plan at some point to try to learn the tipping point when Democrats suddenly decided to call themselves Liberals. but i have argued this for 20 years and note they still keep making errors.

    i am not too sure about that. We in CA have long had fuel cell busses and those are electric.

    Note .... first I thought i was reading fuel cell bus. But heck, we in CA have long had electric bus service. They are all over San Francisco. Been so long ago I can't recall them not being there. I am almost 79 too.

    Liberals don't understand the world?

    Elon Musk is a fairly liberal individual - seems to be handling things reasonably well.
    Warren Buffett is liberal on many issues - doesn't seem to have hurt him.

    Bill Gates is liberal compared to many -
    Jeff Bazos is liberal compared to many - right there we have two of the richest people in the world ... and the OP is going to argue that liberals can't understand the world?

    Yup - going to have to call BS on this thread.

    It's not so much about them not viewing or listening to other sources, so much as it is about them not accepting the information from any other sources. I once got in an argument with someone about the US's violent crime rate, when I cited the FBI's data showing that crime is down significantly, they told me that the numbers weren't valid because the FBI has a liberal bias.

    I'm not saying that liberals don't share this behavior, but in my experience it is definitely more true with conservatives than with liberals. Also let me make myself perfectly clear when I say that it is not all conservatives who behave this way. All I am saying is it is a more common behavior among conservatives than with liberals

    You're talking about social liberals, which isn't "liberal" at all in the classic sense. It's more like they glommed on to the word "liberal" and decided to do a 180.
