To be sure, the OCT is a wacky theory contradicted by the evidence. However, I would never say that how the US government planned and carried out the attacks is easily explained because that's far from true. In the first place, those who were involved are more likely to be certain elements within the US government, not the entire spectrum. Many within the US government were likely complicit without even knowing they were (via compartmentalization). But without a legitimate independent forensic criminal investigation, we will likely never know specifically who, how, what, when and where. We do know some pieces, such as the deliberate failure to do anything about the numerous warnings prior to 9/11 and the STAND DOWN on 9/11 by Bush and several within his administration and the Pentagon and the likely high level orders to destroy as much evidence as possible, not to mention the deliberate coverups, some already made public by Bob Graham. There are many other things we do know but specifics are quite another matter.
(1) Nukes were 1st brought up by Shinebox on page 1. (2) The UFOs were brought up as an illistration that a myriad of perceptions were going on. Firefighters testified that they heard charges going off in sequence inside as if it were a pre-planned demolition, for example. Eye witnesses on the ground testified that the airplanes did not look like commercial airliners. A Boeing E-4, the so-called "doomsday airplane" was spotted over the White House and CNN's Anderson Cooper couldn't get anyone in government to explain or comment on it, There's no need to get emtionally charged and begin vulgar ad hominem attacks. With any controversial subject, there's bound to be this information and misinformation. That's not all that's being held back. There is approximately 570 cubic feet of textual records. A large percentage of the Commission's records are national security classified files. http://www.archives.gov/research/9-11/ Then there are an estimated 2,000 documents/pieces of evidence that NIST refuses to release. And there are an unknown number of documents/pieces of evidence that haven't been publicized that the US government, its agencies and contractors are hiding.

You're right about those points. I was really thinking about the clear proof that the govenment was behind it such as the way the buildings fell symetrically into their own footprints and the fact that whatever hit the Pentagon was too small to be a 757. I should have been clearer.
There's no doubt in my mind that elements within the US government were complicit in 9/11, the evidence is overwhelming. One can say that there is no direct and clear evidence and that might be arguable but there is a ton of circumstantial evidence just about everywhere one looks, in every event and surrounding every event, prior to, during and following 9/11. It is logically impossible that all this circumstantial evidence is all sheer coincidence. Does it all constitute clear proof that would render a guilty verdict in a legitimate court? Well if it walks like a duck, smells like a duck, looks like a duck ......... Many have been convicted on far less. As for me, I'm not a court of law and IMO it is an open and shut case, the only thing that's left as far as the "who" of 9/11 is who else should go to jail besides most of the Bush administration.
