Perhaps you could explain why you think some people do not understand. I have some experience with thermite and I believe it is not well suited for the applications it is alleged to have been used for as demonstrated by the NG video. Why wouldnt traditional HE been used to bring down the buildings?

    well thats really simple. really.

If someone comes out here and says that you can light thermate with a cigarette lighter well there is a good chance they are nothing more than a keyboard commando ya think?

Well it has been demonstrated to have been used not alleged.

Planes and fuel bringing down the towers have been "alleged", you need to come in here with your facts straight.

depends on what they are trying to accomplish.

 LOL, insults, weak ones at that.

A sure sign you can't refute the content of the video or the posted source.

Care to refute the clear evidence that Jones' is sloppy at best as documented in the video?

    More truther fanstasies . . .

that didn't happen, so the answer is irrelevant.

Given Steven Jones thouroughly discredited thermite/mate claim, I'm surprised people are still pushing that drivel.

Just as a point of clarification, Koko believes that hurricane powered nuclear space lasers "dustified" the towers.

You might think I'm kidding, but....

come on fang you can do better than a bold faced lie now cant you?

yeh they were mostly dustified, you fully acknowleged it in other threads, but space lasers and hurricane power? Might want to retune that tin foil hat of yours to reality 101.

Where did I do this? None of the steel in the WTC was dustified. Dustified isn't even a word.

And as for the hurricane powered nuclear space lasers, didn't you source your mini nuke claims to Dr Judy Wood?

She dedicates an entire page of her site to Hurricane Erin, making note of how much energy they contain and inferring that that energy can be harnessed.

She also makes claims about space based energy weapons and claim that the only way that the towers were destroyed with these weapons.

To my knowledge, aside from the jones paper, there is little, if any proof, that thermite was used on 9/11. Personally, I think it is exceedingly unlikely that thermite was involved in the destruction of the towers mainly because:

-to my knowledge, thermite is not used for commercial building demolitions.
-the nat geo video shows how little effect 175lbs of thermite had on an I beam. For those that discount this video what is wrong with it?
-to my knowledge, the only applications for advanced thermitic materials involve detonation mechanisms for incendiary weapons and as a constituent of thermobaric bombs.

i do not understand why thermite would b used instead of traditional HE and or HE Shaped/cutting charges for a controlled demolition. To date, I have seen no evidence to indicate that thermite is even capable of the effectsascribed to it.

take some time and educate your self.

No one "thought" the japs could drop torpedos in peal harbor either did they?

But then those Jap were CREATIVE and really SMART and they did, didnt they.

That and you really need to reread the OP as it appears you missed the whole point here LOL

point being thermite/mate is an incendiary, and poorly suited to do anything but start fires.

You'd need shaped charges to efficiently cut through the girders...

Consider 2 things when you discuss thermite/thermate.

There were thousands of people who were at ground zero when the towers came down. That would be the hot zone. Still thousands more in the warm zone. There were first responders who were in the stairwell of the South Tower who lived. After the towers came down, tens of thousands worked there from day one until today.

The total number of fires caused by thermite residue with all of the welding and cutting and heavy equipment operating at the WTC Site? Zero.

The total number of persons who were found to have thermite in their lungs? Zero.

Total number of persons checked for thermate? ZERO

THanks candy for that in depth insightful coverage of thermate.

besides they dont call it a hot zone.

    They call it GROUND ZERO.

Why would they call it that candy?

the point is thermate cannot do that.

You're forgetting about all the mind-control chemicals stored in the planes to make chem trails. Who knows how hot those burn; they may even burn hot enough to destroy steel girders. Ever think of that?

Fire and massive structural damage with gravity as an assist.

    Simple.
