…When the speaker of the House is strutting the Ru Paul catwalk, the president is turning America into a welfare state for kids’ gender reassignments, and gay bars are becoming the latest elementary school hangouts, “morality” doesn’t exactly spring to mind. But despite cratering poll numbers in the Democrats’ core constituencies — blacks, Hispanics, suburban women, moms, and Gen Z — the party parades on, seemingly incapable of a course correction.

Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel (D) only dug the hole deeper, insisting that “drag queens are fun,” and they “make everything better.” “[You] know what is not a problem for kids who are seeking a good education? Drag queens,” Nessel argued. “Drag queens are entertainment,” she insisted. “And you know what I’ll say that was totally not poll-tested? I’d say this, ‘A drag queen for every school.’”

Of course, it’s not the first time a Democrat has suggested the idea. A week ago, California State Senator Scott Weiner decided to play off his brilliant new idea for schools — mandatory Drag Queen 101 for K-12 — as a “joke,” after sparking national outrage.

Nessel, who has a personal interest in the LGBT agenda, got plenty of laughs at a Lansing conference, but Democratic strategists can’t think that it’s all that funny. If the primaries are a preview of things to come for Biden’s party, the midterm elections are shaping up to be a bloodbath for Democrats — and this latest LGBT excess isn’t helping. From Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-CA) your freedom of expression of yourselves in drag is what America is all about” to the president’s alphabet soup extremism, the campaign ads from Pride Month almost write themselves.

“‘A drag queen for every school’…

Simply outrageous is all that can be said here. America’s morals truly are in the toilet at least on the secular progressive side. Quite the platform for the democrat party. Sadly it’s no longer surprising.

Most Americans are still moral people living quiet lives, but our media, political elite, and cultural institutions are seriously sick. Hollywood in particular is obsessed with gratuitous sex and violence.

They're so isolated from the real world of working Americans it's like they live in a different universe.

They have cross dressed. I don’t think either would do it in front of elementary school kids though Clinton it seems did a lot more with some high school girls as a man with Epstein.

But they want to use the federal and some blue state governments to try to impose that universe upon the rest of us.

Yeah, like "Can't afford to buy gas? Buy an $80,000 Tesla!" They look down on Americans struggling to raise a family on low salaries with contempt.

They do indeed look down upon heartland flyover America and it’s working and middle class with condescending arrogant contempt.

I'd rather share a couple of beers with guys in my hometown who no one else has ever heard of than spend a single minute with any of the clowns in Washington.

Are Americans really that petty to worry about whether somebody likes drag queens? I think it's more things aren't going as well as we want and whenever it's like that, we blame (fairly or unfairly) whoever is in charge.

I don't think these people can be reasoned with.

Vote Republican. Vote for a return to normalcy.

Good point. I can remember as a child putting on my mother's high heel shoes and getting a kick out of it, and enjoying putting nail polish on my fingernails.

I am not offended by cross dressing. I find it amusing, but in general agree that having schools encourage the behavior in youngsters might not be a good move.

I believe you refer to this:

    https://fpiw.org/blog/2016/06/02/wa...h-gender-identity-curriculum-in-kindergarten/

    https://www.lifesitenews.com/news/toronto-school-board-encourages-students-to-cross-dress/

I myself believe it is appropriate to teach children not to bully other children for being "different". I myself believe the above approach is political and designed by people with specific biases they want to impose into the learning process to compensate for ignorance they themselves may have been exposed to as children and for that reason it is misguided as it uses children as a tool to remedy their own unresolved conflicts.

I would argue actual in depth lessons on sexual orientation and identity are premature until adolescence and then should be taught as part of a human relations course by clinical nurses not teachers.

I would argue children before puberty only need learn to accept themselves as who they are, be polite to others who are different from them, learn basic hygiene as to their body parts and learn their bodies are private. I believe anything further then that is premature and imposing adult concepts on children who are by nature asexual and should be allowed to be until they reach puberty.

I am pro gay rights and tolerance but I disagree with the age this should be taught, who it should be taught by and in what format.

I do NOT believe it is appropriate for a transgender teacher to be teaching children about how it feels to be transgender or discuss gender identity any more than it would be for a gay or straight adult to do so. Teachers have no business discussing sexual feelings with children for any reason. Such issues are the sole domain of parents or persons trained to be clinically detached from the psychological issues that arise when such topics are discussed such as clinical nurses.

Teachers have no role in the sexual feelings or discussion of sexual feelings with any student.

I am all for lessons in anatomy, reproduction but sexology or sexual feelings and behaviour is a different topic and too many adults want to discuss it with children from their own bias perspective which should not happen under nay circumstance.

America’s Public Schools Are Breaking. "The failings of our government school system were put on full display during COVID as schools shut down and the classroom moved to Zoom."

"A new Gallup Poll shows that only 28% of Americans hold a “great deal” or “quite a lot” of confidence in our public school system." Well, that's certainly everyone who works for the school system plus the most extreme on the Left.

    Steady decline

"Parents were, often for the first time, presented with the materials their kids were actually being taught."

Too much vile garbage and not enough core academics.

"Couple that with the egregious actions of the teachers’ unions— who worked to unnecessarily keep schools shut down or enforced ridiculous COVID protocols against parents’ wishes. They held the education system hostage for two years and left us with the bill."

"Over 27,000 kids have fled Los Angeles schools. In New York, they’re projecting enrollment losses of another 30,000 this fall. New York City’s Mayor Eric Adams said, “We have a massive hemorrhaging of students — massive hemorrhaging. We’re in a very dangerous place in the number of students that we are dropping.” According to the Department of Education,120,000 students have abandoned the public school system over the last five years."

It's not "dangerous" if the students are better served at private schools.
