Old Joe has signed an executive order appointing an official Covid-19 response coordinator who will report to the president, in an effort to “aggressively” gear up the nation’s response to the pandemic.
He has bolstered the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. He has called on Congress to enact legislation providing permanent status and a path to citizenship for those immigrants. Another executive order revokes Don’s plan to exclude noncitizens from the census count. He has also ended the so-called Muslim ban.
He has also halted construction of the Divider-in-Chief's border wall with Mexico. The order includes an “immediate termination” of the national emergency declaration that allowed the Trump admin to redirect billions of dollars to the wall.
He has rejoined the Paris Climate Accords. In addition, the First Geezer began the reversal of a slew of the Trump admin’s environmental policies, including revoking the permit for the Keystone XL pipeline; reversing the rollbacks to auto emissions, and reductions in the size of national monuments that aided energy exploration.
Jo-Jo ended the Trump admin’s 1776 Commission, which released a report on Monday that historians said distorted the role of slavery in the US, among other history. Hunter's dad also revoked the Orange Criminal’s executive order limiting the ability of federal agencies, contractors and other institutions to hold diversity and inclusion training.
He is moving to extend a federal moratorium on evictions and has asked agencies, including the Agriculture, VA and HUD, to prolong a moratorium on foreclosures on federally guaranteed mortgages that was enacted in response to the coronavirus pandemic.

There's more to come. Of note, Biden's EO's reflect what the majority of Americans want........whereas Don's did not. I look forward to the enactment of policies in keeping with the will of the people.

On his first full day in office, President Joe Biden announced 10 executive orders to combat the Covid-19 pandemic, mandating masks on public transportation and directing agencies to use wartime powers to require U.S. companies to make N95 masks, swabs and other equipment.
    https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/21/bid...d-pandemic-invoke-defense-production-act.html

All sorts of Repubs cynically predicted all the talk about the virus would disappear when Biden took office. That is far from the truth.

It's hard to read the OP because there are no paragraphs. Not a complaint. Just some feedback.

With that said, I think it's good Biden has hit the ground running. We need someone in leadership that will face problems head on and devise constructive paths to resolve them in a timely manner.

As Biden pointed out, Dems and Repubs aren't going to agree on everything regarding policy. That's to be expected.

But we must at least strive to find common ground along the lines of what the facts are.

For example, there were a number of EO's issued to combat climate change. The fact is it is happening and it is caused by burning carbon based fuels. We can disagree about what to do about it but not whether it is happening.

If you want to get people vaccinated you really need to get government out of the way. Biden won't do that.

Yeah, nothing like letting the market dictate the price of the vaccine, yeah? Make sure the rich people are the first to get it and the the poor never do. The American way.

So far after one day in office he is skirting common ground. There is no effective alternative to fossil fuels. When there is then we should pursue it. Throwing the baby out with the bath water isn't usually the best approach. By the way we can disagree on the cause of the warming as well.

I’d say some of these EOs incentivize pursuit of fossil fuel alternatives. Effective alternatives won’t come about on their own.

I didn't suggest any of that. I don't respond to posts that invent what I said.

what you never heard of Fauci? You missed out on Trump using the war powers act to speed production of PPE and Respirators? No wonder you voted Democrat you existed in a news black out back last March and April.

If we take government out of the picture in regards to the vaccine push, who ends up responsible for it?

No, because when the government isn't involved People are left to their own devices, and the market will have shortages of the vaccine and cost too much for many people to get it.

And, that's not even counting that the government is the one doing the ordering of the vaccine dosages

Apparently you have missed government's failure to get the job done. If only we could be left to our own devices.

You’re right, under Trump it was a failure. I believe the Biden admin will do a far superior job. What does it look like to you when we are left up to our own devices?

There are ways to reduce CO2 emissions that need to be pursued with more urgency immediately. That's essentially what Biden is doing. No one is throwing out the baby here. But we do need to hasten the change to renewable energy right away.
I'm sorry, but the matter of what is causing climate change has been scientifically established.
