The Luca study alone says we can save 1700 lives a year. Many people would not consider that negligible

"we can save 1700 lives" So by saying can you are indicating in the future. I was looking for studies that prove that current laws are saving lives.

That is what I am talking about. Those studies compare states with effective gun control against states with lax gun control in the US

I'm going to have to read Mr. Luca again as you and I are looking at the information differently.

Truth is, Science has nothing to do with Gun Control or saving lives as there are too many variables involved, he ignores the testimony of Direct Observations of gun control in action.

Case and point, New York City, strict Gun Control, most law abiding people do not have Guns, yet any Criminal can obtain firearms quickly enough.

Just repeating gun control saves lives does not make it true, it is raining heavily now, and l just heard two gun shots.

Explain please, what is lax gun control ?
What States have lax gun control ?
Because all States have the same basic gun control, background checks, form 4473 and a generic form.

What is lax anout that ?
States with the strictest gun control still have armed criminals,
any Criminal in New York City has guns.

Proof, however, is indeed required to justify the continued existence of a particular law. Government cannot justify the existence of a law on the basis of it wanting the law to remain in place.

Pray tell exactly what is considered "lax" about currently existing federal laws pertaining to firearms, which apply in every single state.

Then actually provide the proof of such an accusation, and demonstrate it once and for all.

    Yes, you dismiss reality constantly.

We'll see. It will certainly take the American people being willing to throw off the yoke of authoritarianism and tyranny that too many have accepted as a matter of course.

Not random thoughts, but an understanding of Constitutional intent you are sorely lacking in; or worse, you just don't care about Constitutional intent and are actively engaged in trying to marginalize anyone who knows just how corrupted the government has become to support your paid masters.

Nope. Just random thoughts. I’ll stick with actual case law.

No such thing as case law, a technical misnomer,
laws are not enacted by Judges, case decisions by discretion are made on a case by case basis.

    As opposed to statutes—
legislative acts that proscribe certain conduct by demanding or prohibiting something or that declare the legality of particular acts—
case law is a dynamic and constantly developing body of law.

Each case contains a portion wherein the facts of the controversy are set forth as well as the holding and dicta—an explanation of how the judge arrived at a particular conclusion.

In addition, a case might contain concurring and dissenting opinions of other judges.

It is a technical error to refer to a judicial decision as law, since to enact laws, a Bill must be crafted, reviewed, revised, passed by both houses, not vetoed by the President, then it becomes Law.

Executive orders become Law, and can be annulled by the current POTUS, a Judge can decide a case, that decision establishes a legal precedent, it is not actual law on the books.

Just as your lol is not a rebuttal or a statement, merely a bromide.
You can laugh all you want, no Judge can in fact make laws, only decision of a case that can be appealed and overruled by a higher Court decision.

Read my piece in what constitutes a law, if it is wrong, then he should prove it wrong.
If anyone can enact a law by decisions, dicta, why waste time crafting bills, committees,
Amend bill, then put it to votes, both houses, the
President signs it, it becomes law of the land.

People wake up sometimes, as much as you frantically try to keep them asleep. You can spout "you lose" all you want; doesn't make it so.

Case law that ignores the obvious intent of the Founders.

Oh, but I disagree! I think Gunner is correct. Some things have been changing for the good (that means good for us pro gun types), I believe we are up to 11 states that now allow concealed carry with out any permit. That was not allowed just a few short years ago.

    Smile for the camera Vegas!
