That being said, I judge everyone as individuals. That is, until they prove they're just like all the other scumbags from California.

I see you totally missed (or wilfully choose to overlook) the point of my post.

Everything you are saying, those Californians have experienced. So now they are leaving that place to get away from the problem and being a nuisance to people like you.
How come you're not putting any blame on the people who drove those Californians put in the first place?

Maybe with so many people from California moving to South Beach, people like you will want to get out of there and start moving to Charleston and Savannah, and then people there will start complaining the same thing about you.

Are you resentful so many are moving there?
Or are you only just complaining so many of the ones who are are shitty crummy people?
I hope you realize typically when there is displacement, all the crummy people move away first. It is socioeconomic.

If the economy gets tight in South Beach, it will probably be the lower money tier who will move away first. Those in a better financial situation will feel the effects less and slower.

There was this transplant guy who came here and started a winery.

A woman peed in the Winery's garden and the guy who owns the winery pulled a gun on her.

If a poor person were to have done the same thing, they would have been charged with assault and had their gun rights taken away.

Meanwhile, this guy had no consequences.

So in other words you are saying that due to the politics of California turning so Progressive, that has pushed a lot of people out who you don't like, and now those people are moving to where you are.

    Interesting.

I think from your story it's sounding obvious why this guy left California.

Fight it in court. If she had a pass, the judge will probably toss it.

Not that I agree with what the winery owner did, your assumption as to how they would be charged is just that, an assumption.

I would find it unusual if a 'poor person' owned a winery, but if someone violated someone's premise and urinated on it, pulling a gun for that is considered threatening someone and is considered illegal, regardless of financial position.

The general gist of your posts is that you believe 'poor' (whatever that may be) people are treated horribly and are abused by everybody. I disagree.

My general assessment of this situation is you get what you deserve. You voted for a party that was in favor of mass immigration. So those people overcrowd one place and displace nasty type people who then move to where you are.

You so you get what you deserve.

Just like those people are going to have to live with the effects of what you did, for a long time, so too are you going to have to live with the effects for a long time.

Maybe if you think about this, you will see that the policies that you supported are ultimately what is responsible for your suffering now.

But somehow I doubt you will think or take responsibility for your role in this.

There have been numerous studies that demonstrate a direct link between poverty and crime and consequently higher imprisonment rates for the poor.21

    21. See, e.g., Stuart P. Green, Symposium Article, Hard Times, Hard Time: Retributive Justice for Unjustly Disadvantaged Offenders, 2010 U. CHI. LEGAL F. 43, 48 (2010) (arguing that punishment should depend on poverty, subject to

That not being a functional link, I'd ask a few questions.

What is the crime they committed, and how many crimes has the person committed, before they ended up in jail?

It's unfortunate that certain environments do nothing to dissuade the use of violence, and instead up-play the idea that other people are the cause for their predicament. Yes, there are certain misconceptions regarding socio-economic position and proclivity to crime. Those misconceptions continue to be fed, and instead of actively trying to change the situation, spend more time and energy trying to claim other groups are wrong for addressing the result, rather than the cause.

    Ranger had to meet quota.

If people tried to push for actual reform instead of this BLM crap, maybe some of this stuff would stop happening.

In the end, call the Judge's office and explain the situation, he/she may dismiss the charge for a fee in such cases or may not.
