And you won't believe who that Republican is!

A second Republican breaks with party on House GOP border security bill

Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) will be voting against House Republicans’ sweeping border security bill, citing concerns with the electronic verification of work authorization provisions in the bill.

The immigration bill, HR 2, would reimplement former President Donald Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” program, end catch-and-release policies at the border, restart construction of the border wall, and mandate electronic verification of work authorization through a system called E-Verify.

This was a shock to me. I had heard Massie on a podcast about two weeks ago and he sounded impressive, but now, seeing as how he's trying to shoot down the border bill over e-verify, I have to reconsider my earlier impressions.

It's pretty clear this is a case of donor capture. The big money has long opposed e-verify and now that there is actually a shot at getting at least some coverage of it nationally, the donors are pulling out all the stops. I'm just sorry Massie turned out to be one of their tools.

In spite of Massie's efforts, HR 2 passed.

New immigration legislation offers hope for a beleaguered nation

Imagine a new city popping up in America every two years, each with a population exceeding that of Los Angeles . This is what has happened, in effect, since President Joe Biden’s inauguration, with 4.2 million illegal immigrants having been allowed into the United States. And all the while, taxpayers have been footing the bill for billions of dollars per year to cover this unprecedented incursion of uncontrolled immigration.

However, new legislation offers hope that the nation can finally come to grips with the crisis.

The House of Representatives, after collaborative effort by many members of Congress and border security experts and leaders, has responded to the chaos at our southern border by introducing H.R. 2, the Secure the Border Act, which would prevent further abuse of immigration laws to usher in even more mass illegal immigration.

The Secure the Border Act includes a number of key statutory reforms to improve border security and enforcement policies.

Of course this won't pass the Senate, but it's a good marker of what the GOP position should be.

Except new cities are NOT being built to house these new immigrants. Rather it is simply resulting in more overcrowding in the city areas.
Many ordinary Americans are struggling to afford new houses.
Homelessness levels seem to be going up.

BlackRock owns a lot of residential properties and would love it if the government paid out a fortune for those properties to house immigrants.

because BlackRock has spotted a better investment opportunity somewhere else.

The big money has always favored more immigration and doesn't care about any category of the masses; the immigrants or the earlier residents.

Instead of fussing about US citizens entering the capital on Jan 6 the capital should to avoid hypocrisy, welcome illegal immigrants to come in and stay there.

We have some work to do in the GOP. There are guys who look right, sound right, but they are bought, and when they expose themselves as pretenders, we need to remember.

Union members hate scabs that undercut their pay.

Illegals are essentially scabs who undercut the American Worker, and this Republican than you have identified, supports undercutting the wages of Americans.

And Biden gets worse. First, know that around 85% of the Central American females that illegally cross our southern border, are raped on the way. That too many of the Left support these rape routes and claim that is 'compassion' is like saying that cutting the breasts off their daughters and the penis and nuts off their sons is 'affirming'. 85%. That's every damn one of them, except for the very old and the very young.

Now Biden is making sure that the raped children are not seperated from their traffickers.

CRISIS BY DESIGN: A New Low: Biden to Halt Familial DNA Testing at the Border.

'the Biden administration is nothing more than a self-serving, evil entity that cares nothing for the people who must labor under its policies.'

'there will be no further effort to make sure that children are crossing the border with their parents or to identify unaccompanied minors.'

'The consequence will be more children being trafficked for forced labor, used to obtain government benefits, and worse yet, used as sex slaves.'

So they will grab some underage girls, and collect benefits for them, while keeping them in their house and raping them at will.

'It makes one wonder where all of the people who were up and arms over Trump separating families at the border. Shouldn’t that same care concern, and outrage be expressed over the elimination of a system that can help keep children from being used for fraud, or as slave laborers, drug mules, and prostitutes?'
