http://denver.cbslocal.com/2012/11/...leads-to-starving-horses-heading-into-winter/ America is no longer the land of prosperity and the poor ranchers of Colorado can no longer afford to feed their horses. As poverty increases in Obama's economy, more animals will starve and die for lack of food. I do not have any sympathy for the American people, who voted for Obama. But the animals do not deserve this and should not be made to suffer.
I don't think you even think the president can control the climate. That is, unless you're one of the people who think he caused Hurricane Sandy?
Right. The president is to blame for the drought that drove up hay prices. Welcome to my ignore list.
No rain= high beef prices. But Fox News say's it's because of Obama. No rain= high hay prices.......I'm guessing that was Fox News as well. Proof here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oAKG-kbKeIo
Perhaps we could have adopted a policy of environmental management so as to avoid and withstand droughts?
The best thing in life is a tall pint, a good friend, and a beautiful server. Tomorrow I shall read this post and remember how awesome a night I had on November 13, 2012
Here is projected video evidence that Obama caused deserted babies, rivers preventing us to cross, women adopting babies because it's cheaper to take them from strangers, men travel by Buffalo, man becomes reliant on the Buffalo in battle. But it is projected we will end up ok.
There certainly should be some program in place to help people out at times like these. Just don't tell the neo cons..
Drought conditions this year range from dry to exceptional for nearly every state west of the Missisippi River. That means less hay has been grown and prices are at three times the normal level. Darn that Obama and his infernal control of the weather! If only he would use his powers for good.....
oh of course not - but he did claim he would slow the rise of the oceans, and the heal the climate. Hay prices are mostly rising because of urban sprawl. People want more lebensraum, and the government has supported urban sprawl with tax dollars. We're losing farmland, and we're also using more of it for odd purposes (more cash crops, more ethanol), so we've seen a rapid drop in the actual food production, to include hay (no twisting this - because of the Dems). Horses are also still becoming less and less useful, and are primarily a leisure thing - people just keep them and ride them because they're pretty and nostalgic, a reminder of times now gone. It's an expensive thing to maintain. Personally, I don't understand these million dollar race horses. Makes no f**king sense to me. If I were to have a horse, it'd be a f**king Clydesdale, draped in chainmail and a scottish blue at a medieval/renaissance tourney, but that's just me.
When people start blaming the President for droughts causing increased hay prices it's time to seriously evaluate their sanity.
Drought leading to high feed costs because of it, and it's Obama's fault? Are you for real? Oh, I forgot, as President he's responsible for the weather and its consquences. Got any more gems to share with us?
How can you say this and simultaneously oppose any environmental regulation, designed to protect American's environment? Oh, yes, that's right, becasue this is yet another Obama troll thread. Where your previous posting history is put to one side while you take a pop off Obama. Do you think that the people who read your threads are stupid? Admittedly, many on the right will follow your thread and agree and bark and indulge in political BS, but everyone else seems exactly what you're doing.
The Lefties, Socialist and Democrats ( one and the same ) tell everyone all the time that Humans can and do control not just contemporary weather, but the entire climate. They are using the concept of Human Caused Global Warming to justify their taking over every facet of your daily life and most of our industry and energy production. Why is it reasonable to assume that Humans can control not just the weather, but the climate (long range weather patterns) when it comes to passing carbon trading,... but not reasonable to assume that President could have spent some of the "Stimulus" dollars on public funded irrigation projects to combat the drought problems, rather than sending Billion$ to Brazil to allow foreign companies to drill for oil in American Waters? Why is reasonable to send Billion$ to China for Wind Turbines, but not reasonable to spend money right here on American Labor, Concrete and other materials to build Irrigation infrastructure? Even the Ancient Egyptian Pharaohs knew enough to spend tax money on irrigation infrastructure as a way to stimulate their own countries economy and employ their own people in tough economic times. It is hard to believe that President Obama or some one of his many quality white house cabinet advisors did not think of this, we can only conclude, once again, that he WANTS Americans to pay a "Penance" for … hmmm, Colonialism? Slavery? Capitalism? Why did we allow a Traitor to Voter-Fraud steal re-election? -
Irrigation Infrastructure can cope with Droughts, it has been done for thousands of years. If we didn't take corn and other grains to make fuel, it could have been used for animal feed. If we had sequestered a strategic store of both human and animal feed, we would not have had this problem. Grain silos appears as icons of government management or lack of management in most classic religous fables of both Christianity AND Hinduism, Budism, Islam, and even Polynesian cultures. -
I'd be less worried about starving horses and more worried about starving people. Granted, America has had the latter problem for a while now. http://feedingamerica.org/hunger-in-america/hunger-studies/hunger-study-2010.aspx
