Well, Ive not seen any statistics on just children, and suspect you haven't either, but in general whites are shot more often by the police than blacks.

Strange how the players never protest against the state flags that every single police shooting incident that they complain about was done under the STATE authority of the police.

I would advise you to follow the news as everyone reporting on these protests are calling it an anthem protest and not a protest against cops - that's the message being conveyed by the protests, it's against the anthem. And then there's this:

Intentionally not showing pride for the flag, that's what he said. Regardless of his reasoning, he's disrespecting our flag/anthem. Why doesn't he go and protest in front of a police department if that's what his beef is?

That’s pretty lame evidence. He was clearly doing so in protest of oppression of blacks. Whether or not that’s relevant ought to be the debate.

Not being proud of something isn’t a protest. If he said something like I won’t stand for the anthem because I dont like certain lyrics and want them changed or if he just didn’t want it played before the games, then we’d have a protest against the anthem.

    https://www.usatoday.com/story/spor...ed-by-criticism-for-anthem-protest/107644800/

See... this article with several players explaining the reasoning behind the protest barely mentions the anthem at all.

Your customers aren't tuning in to be a captive audience to Protests.

This is their Job, they have no 1A right to protest while on the clock without penalty.
Time for the NFL to reassert their leadership IMO. Tell them to stand or find other work.

They're not tuning in for breast cancer, diabetes awareness or domestic abuse ads either....yet I don't see any outrage on those.

I didn't know you got to decide what people should and shouldn't agree on and how to judge what's decent.

NFL Viewership in this case tells us what people don't like. It's dropped and will continue until the players are no longer running the NFL.

NFL cracked last year, and they're going to do so again this year. A lot of people came back thinking they handled this, now those people will cut and run once more.

The league will live on and be fine, as it always has been. With or without protests.

Depending on the ratings this year, they very well might forget.

For example, this past Super Bowl had well over 100 million viewers watching, 106 million to be exact.

Heh, I'm sure they'd like to. I know myself and others like myself will remind them. I'll skip the season again, had plenty of other things to keep me entertained and busy. When ownership finally takes charge maybe I'll return.

You are far more insulting to people like me than any NFL player. They understand the concept of peaceful protest. You don't. And you think the flag is more important than what it represents. THAT is dangerous. That is the stuff of autocracies.

You should worry about the right of protest and free speech more than a harmless symbol of protest.

This "right" doesn't exist on your Jobsite. You can be fired if you offend or tarnish the brand.

Just going through life tossing the phrase "rights" around, thinking you are protected to do anything, anywhere at any time needs to stop.

Since when can your employer force you to show patriotism. That is bs. And they should sue the hell out of the NFL for violating their rights if they push this. Staying in the locker room is a reasonable compromise. But your boss cannot force you to show patriotism. And neither can your dog president.

The SC ruled long ago that you can burn a flag as a symbol of protest. This is far more benign. The NFL doesn't have a prayer.

Since you signed a contract to follow their rules.

You have no "right" to protest at the jobsite. Your employer can fire you if they choose to. Your 1A right is only a protection from the Government. Whether this is more benign or not than a flag burning has no bearing on the argument you are trying to present. You clearly have no understanding of what rights you actually have. Just tossing around the word, thinking as I outlined in my prior post.

Try burning a flag in the stands next time you go to a game, and explain to them how the SC ruled...
