Admit it, we need peaceful segregation

Oh yeah, my Polish family came to New York in the early 20th century, but surely not only must my people accept responsibility for that, I personally owe them too. LOL

While Poland abolished slavery in the 14th century, and remained virtually slave free ever since.

Some African Americans went to Liberia to enslave Africans in the plantation method of slavery.

No one seems to have given me a good or a reasonable response as to why peaceful segregation wouldn't work. Keeping various races among their own not only makes for common
interaction with culturally like-minded people, but it also seems to be a great deterrent from friction between the races. How can one incite a racist encounter if they are spending most of their time among their own? I'm not saying that people won't encounter those of other races, but for the most part and for the majority of their time while living in America--they will feel most comfortable sharing life experiences with people they feel safe with.

I would no more want to live in Harlem as a WHITE man then a black would want to live in Irish South Boston. Most of the message here is just plain common sense.

 

I've got a better idea. Just stop being racist! That would put an end to all racial conflict. How about that?

Racism does play a factor in why Black crime rates are disproportionate however that's beside the point. The point is that if you want to end racial conflict the best way is to end racism. Race only has as much social importance as people give it.

You don't need to segregate races if you end racism. The problem is racism not diversity itself.

Neither plan is actually going to work because neither is feasible. But hypothetically if my idea were to work everyone would stop being racist at the same time.

Personally while I know there has been some ethnic discrimination against the Polish and other European groups I've barely heard it, not nearly as much as I've heard racism against Blacks.

 

The key word is used to be, while dumb Polak jokes are much more recent, and prevalent.
