In the U.S. military, adultery has a maximum punishment of a dishonorable discharge and confinement for up to one year, according to the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Apparently there are a few commanders that have been ejected from the military over this.

 

Yes, As a retired Air Force member I am aware of what the UCMJ says. As I recall there have been one or two generals who were disciplined for sexual harassment. We do not hear of the cases doing down the ranks. The UCMJ applies to both the officers and the enlisted ranks.

 

Meanwhile, in Indonesia, a Muslim country with a population larger than the U.K., France, Germany, and Canada all combined, they just passed a law to make sex outside of marriage illegal.
