No, they're responding to a question, no problem there.

It is something of a pet peeve of mine however, when some people get all upset over a perfectly happy and functioning May-December couple. Fer Crissakes, do you know how rare it is when two people actually both love each other in any relationship? If it's legal and works, it's beautiful, IMO

Who is " They're " in " they're responding ". That sounds like Trump talk.
They against Us. We agin' Them,
Females siding with Divorcee's.Like Hillary Talk.
Why can'st posters just talk ... Movie Talk.
    Or Rat Pack { Joey Bishop,Dean Martin,Frank Sinatra,Sammy Davis Jr.Peter Lawford }
talk.I mean there " they're " were enough Divorcee and wanabee divorcee movies
explaining the weaker sex.Which as any Divorced man can attest to,is not too doggone
weak when it comes to a divorce settlement.
    Explain them potatoes.

My family has a long history of what used to be called May-December relationships. Most of the marriages have been generally quite good.

Unfortunately for me, women never gave two bits for me and I remained unmarried all my life. Folks who know me say I would have been a good husband as I do not drink alcohol and much prefer to stay at home rather than seek amusement outside of home.

Growing up Catholic in the conservative 50's it was unheard of in my
neighborhood, the very notion of Divorce.Plus the Catholic Church did not
allow them. Those Were the Days. Literally. No Kiddin'. Familes were Units
and did most everything together.None of this Liberal,Touchy Feely ...
Oh Woe is me. We have dopes like Bruce Jenner today because it Pays.
Take away any profit motive and the guy wilts faster than a daisy flower.
Jenner was literally swayed/Prompted into his new identity. He saw firsthand how
acting out and spoiled silly { Them Kardashians } paid huge dividends.

Of course, Jenner is a Republican so that the party's prominence and materialism in this era may have something to do with that. ;)

No offense, but women do not like men who are dull, no matter how much they complain when he is not.

No offense taken so don't worry about that. As for my sense of humor, in fact I was a comedy writer at one time. Women appreciated my wit but were turned off by my lack of a high paid job and financial resources. But that's another story ...

Therefore why I mention - The Rat Pack -. Definitely Not boring.
Definitely ladies Man. From their custom threads to their almost daily
grooming { Haircuts, nails trimmed }.Everything they did was fine-tuned to
be attractive for the weaker sex. They all had some form of entertainment skill.
I mean, how many guys could belt out a song with cig in one hand and a drink
in another.Still manage to hold the mic and maybe even do a little break dance.
I know my Mom really liked Tom Jones. Not so much Deano because he was
Italian and told dirty jokes in Las Vegas.Like Buddy Hackett.
Unbeknownst to many Lou Costello was a ladies man.He was also a gifted basketball
player who was once the New Jersey state free throw champion in high school.
What chicks don't know can sometimes come back to bite their keisters.

That's a red flag right there that the problem wasn't with women but with you. Ex-cons, unemployed, and underemployed guys can get plenty of tail. So there is probably another reason (and probably one that you are not even aware of) that kept them at arms length.

Actually I did address that on another thread - as an intellectual (if I may be permitted to use that term) I did attract highly intellectual women who would be initially interested in my wit and brainy exchanges with them. However, because of their materialism they would be turned off by my lack of a high salary and my involuntary ghetto living. Just the facts, sad to say ...

It probably had more to do with status rather than salary.

Having a younger spouse is a great reason to stay in shape physically and, as someone in my 60's, I know what it means to have to stay in shape. I do it because I don't want to be one of those old people sitting around waiting to die. Yes, I know that I will but I would prefer to still be living life to the fullest when I do.

So my advice to the OP is go for it. You are both consenting adults who appear to be compatible. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

That could well have been a factor as you suggest. Interestingly, as I think about it, of the few women who I managed to attract, white women were more troubled by my low status in life than were the black or Latin women.

    Again, Jenner is a Republican.

More importantly, Catholics in NYC when I was growing up were generally more liberal than Protestants. And contrary to the stereotype that right wingers would have you believe, they have larger and more stable families than anyone else. To this day I still do not believe in divorce.

If She is OK with your age difference, that is all that matters in my book.

Also, Tex should keep his weight down and let her know that it is her youth that is inspiring him to keep young. That will defo do the trick! :)

I like the "half your age plus seven" rule.

Well, let's hope she doesn't have such a pronounced adams apple like ann.

If you can make her laugh and she can stand the smell of your farts, it's a winner.

That doesn't apply to someone that is 34 - 34 is a grown adult....

That rule only applies to people in their early 20's....

Yea, someone 50 dating a person in their late teens or early 20's is weird but 34?

In my experience the only thing that keeps women away from some men is the man himself, that is to say some men don't get women because they don't try to. This whole idea that we all have this "drive" to get married, rather than just to get physical sexual satisfaction, is bollocks to me. Marriage is not for everybody and one of the best ways of knowing that is that you don't get married.

And If you're feeling bad that you didn't get married in your youth and now don't have children to take care of you, don't. Most people's children nowadays are either plotting to put them in the cheapest home possible or calling them for bail money, be thankful you put your savings into a good 401k for yourself rather than a college education for them (or even more wisely spent it all in your youth ensuring your body will not make to a very old age )

I think you've offered a pretty poor solution. No kids? No problem! Eat/Drink/Merry, and then make sure you die before you get old.

I've known a lot of people who lived for today, and then, much to their surprise, lived on. It's pretty sad to see old people with no family, no one to care about them. It seems like your suggestion is for unmarried people to off themselves when they age.

Jumping ahead to marriage, here's how it works:
When an older man marries a younger woman, he gets the advantage of having a young-looking wife who will more than likely challenge him to stay young in body and spirit. He can grow old knowing his wife is still strong enough to nurse him and wipe the dribble from his chin. He usually doesn't have to care too much for her, because he is financially secure enough to replace physical care with affluent care (young women married to young men usually have labor-intensive lives).

When a young woman marries an older man, she gets the advantage of a man who is further along in his career and more stable, whose wild oats are hopefully behind him and is ready for a sincere relationship, and who can be a more mature and level-headed partner, offering her security. She has a man who is more likely to appreciate little things about her and be less likely to take her for granted.

It's not bad, as long as everyone understands the dynamics and is prepared to avoid the pitfalls. You are going to have to tolerate her less mature friends while she has to find common ground with your more mature friends...etc. One of you will have to find a different place to work... office affairs are not good. You both have to plan ahead for her widowhood.

19 years is not really so huge. If she is mentally mature and you are in youthful physical condition -- everything you mentioned sounds like a fine match.
    Love and be happy!

When she was a 7 year old girl, you were a 26 year old man.

    Sounds disgusting.
