An unborn child is bequeathed by the State what was taken during a brief and brutal life in death...the human dignity afforded most human beings...that their is an unique value in human life.

Man who beat a woman to kill her (and his) unborn child pleads guilty to that aggravated murder (and lesser charges) accepts a life plus one thousand year sentence.

The willful intent and act concluding in the death of the unborn child is in the books as an aggravated murder. No doubt that this unborn child's murder will be seen as an unsanctioned abortion, by the human unborn chattel crowd, not befitting of a charge that can only be made, convicted of and sentenced to when the victim and murderer are both human beings. Yet there it is.

Denying the obvious only leads to confusion and chaos. The unlawful taking, of at least this one human's life, is noted for the criminal act that it is.

Why then is the obvious denied millions and millions of times over? Perhaps as denying the humanity of slaves was eventually recognized as the hideous deception it was and is, the unborn will eventually take their rightful place of respect and value afforded those who were once seen as less than human.

The women who were kidnapped, beaten, sexually assaulted, and allegedly starved to force miscarriages--do you think they were disappointed about the plea deal which precluded seeking the death penalty for murder charges?

The man should just be charged for an unlawful abortion.

And comparing abortion to slavery is not only redundant, but insulting to those who've actually been slaves. How can coercion labor be anything like abortion? Slavery directly undignifies a person's will and subverts their desires. What does an abortion do? It kills a human fetus, a living organism which lacks any ability to feel pain and has never been aware of it's own life. Philosophically, it would be impossible to harm someone who has never been aware of their life nor can sense anything.

Slaves actually fought against slavery and vocally condemned it.

A fetus is indifferent to whatever injustice it perceives.

Who decrees there is "unique value in human life", you, me, god, or is it a fact that the value of human life is no more than any other living thing on this planet .. I have yet to see nature make exceptions for humans.

The value of human life is no more than another person places upon it.

What a choice, death penalty or life imprisonment . .which would you choose?

Yep, its a damn shame that this man took away the choice from these women, forced them into captivity, forced them to have sex with him and then forced them to abort, but of course choice is not an option for pro-lifers .. I wonder if you would be so quick to comment if he had been charged with forcing them to give birth (which he did), probably not. I also wonder if he would have been charged if the women had all stated, on record, that it was their choice to allow the abortions.

As it should be, depriving the woman of her choice as to whether she wanted to remain pregnant or not.

Because it was not the woman who choose to abort or not .. it was forced upon them.

Oh dear the slavery comparison yet again, run out of fresh ideas it would seem. The question needs to be asked who is really the slave, the fetus or the woman forced to be pregnant against her wishes.

So, if the woman wants it, then it legally is a person? personhood cannot depend on the whims of somebody else.

It's only murder if the woman wants her fetus apparently.

If the woman chooses to sacrifice her body for nine months plus a year of recovery time, risk her health and life, and possibly her education, job or career in order to gestate and give birth...then it is a person. I wouldn't trivialize it as a whim.

Read my post again, carefully, this time.

And, since you asked for links as proof that pro-choice policies result in fewer abortions, would you please at least acknowledge them here... http://www.politicalforum.com/abortion/312850-22-weeks-15.html#post1062925700

    Thanks

How does the woman's choice to keep the fetus, somehow make it a person?

Here's what Anders Hoveland has stated about this.

Notice the woman who was kidnapped, raped, beaten, and allegedly starved to force a miscarriage is not that concerned about murder charges for "the unborn human baby." The only ones concerned about "the unborn human baby" are prolifers who want to exploit her tragedy.

Do you think that will be the baby killer's first line of defense?

Ah so good to see the usual inane responses from the F.L.A.P's & P.A.W's (Fetal Lovers Association Plc & Pro-lifers Against Women), shame they don't even attempt to respond in an educated manor .. never mind, another pro-lifer thread consigned to the "Say what I want without listening" pile.

Foetal homicide laws are often inconsistent with abortion laws. So dont try to draw some conclusions from this, because consistency is not something laws in general are known for.

Whether it is murder or not cannot depend on whether the foetus is wanted or not. That is patently absurd. Unlawful abortion charge, if something like that exists, is appropiate here, but certainly not murder.

He was not a baby killer. Ariel Castro kidnapped and imprisoned 3 women in his home for ten years. He beat them, raped them, and abused them continuously in unimaginable ways. He may have beaten and starved a woman until she miscarried, but your only concern is that embryo. How sick is that?

Exactly, and why has that not been an issue? He put her life in extreme danger by forcing her to give birth without even a qualified birth attendant (maternal death rates are 97 times higher without skilled assistance).

Pro-choicers also are guilty of exploiting people's tragedies.

They mention examples of "what if the woman was raped, shouldn't she be allowed to have an abortion"?, or they mention Todd Akins offensive statements, in order to justify abortions in general, while only a very small percentage of abortions happen because of rape. They exploit the tragedies of women to gain sympathy for their beliefs.

Pro-choicers are advocates for rape victims, they do not exploit them. What pro-lifers do is to further victimize women who are already victims of violence. Statements by Todd Akins and others show clearly the Republican war on women, but they are not used to exploit anyone, you just made that up.
