Alex Jones’ wife arrested on domestic violence charge (msn.com) The wife of conspiracy theorist Alex Jones was arrested Christmas Eve on a domestic violence charge that the right-wing provocateur said stems from a “medication imbalance.” Sheriff’s deputies took Erika Wulff Jones into custody and booked her into an Austin jail around 8:45 p.m. Friday. Jail records show the 43-year-old faces misdemeanor charges of assault causing bodily injury to a family member and resisting arrest, search or transport. She had not received a bond Saturday afternoon. I put it here because this guy is crazy lol, I would beat him too lol when I hear about him, I smile and say it's a free country !
When I first saw this headline, I thought of all the men who are victims of domestic abuse by their significant other but are ashamed to come forward. I thought they would like this. But then I read that it was medication imbalance and I realized that this is a mental health problem and it is a shame that she isn't in the psych ward but in police custody. Definitely a bad turn of events.
The last line of that article is "Jones said his wife’s arrest “doesn’t concern my politics” and that “it wasn’t some kind of personal hateful thing or anything.” which is hilarious. How much more *personal* and "hateful" can a person be other than domestic violence cases?
I can appreciate where you are coming from, but this was a mental health emergency, and since this involved the police she could have easily ended up in prison for years. Fortunately, she is only facing misdemeanor charges.
my 1st spoused suffered from several mental illnesses, depression. fear of going out a habit that almost bankrupted me QVC and HSN
People that work in domestic violence centers often coach people to work the phrase "I feared for my life" into their statement to the presiding judge when testifying about whatever event lead to the other person's arrest. So, either he's thinking about divorcing her or something else is running around in his brain but it doesn't feel legit to me. I could be wrong. I hope I'm wrong but I saw it as a cop. I saw it as a child abuse advocate and I saw it in my own horrific divorce (the ex used that line constantly and was never under threat of harm from me).
I didn't see any photos of her but do you get the impression he can't fend off a woman? Unless she's a body builder or Karate expert, his girth, alone, could probably keep her at bay without causing her harm until she calms down. I get annoyed about these kinds of things because people with *real* emergencies have to wait on cops that have to answer this kind of silliness. If she's that ill, he needed to take her to a mental health hospital not bother the cops with their holiday dysfunction.
And, when you were there, did you sincerely feel threatened by any females in your circle? Beyond that, X (something happened) that warranted him calling the cops and saying he feared for his life and at some point after that he made this statement “I love my wife and care about her and it appears to be some kind of medication imbalance.” He loves his wife, He cares about his wife, He suspects a medication imbalance. All three of those declarative statements are counterintuitive to calling the cops (who are notorious for making domestic situations worse) and knowing it would be news because of his work. He could have taken her to a psychiatric hospital or called whatever doctor prescribed the medications he was concerned about or asked for a police transport to take her to a psychiatric hospital. Having a mentally ill person arrested doesn't help their state of mind in the least bit and often makes it worse because most police officers aren't trained to assess mental instability. The role is to de-escalate an escalated situation. Or, maybe it's a publicity stunt to detract from the subpoenas about the Capitol riot. The dots just don't line up straight for me.
my first wife weighed under 100 pounds so no lol, and the Portland Maine police added some social workers but did not defund, to me they will save money because the cost of an ill person far out paces just a crook, so hiring more help should help
