Just forget it, you've obviously been brainwashed so well that nothing I say can reason with a closed mind.

How dare you ask Sobo for proof that he was there - didn't you know that 'proof' has been expunged from the English language?? No go and wash your mouth out and don't say it again! :roflol:

I have no reason to credit either side's announcements on how well the US missiles performed. I find it counter-intuitive that 71 missiles would have been shot down. But I also reject the notion claimed by the Pentagon that none were shut down as I saw a video that showed a couple of missiles being intercepted.

The truth about the performance of weapons system usually trickles down long after a conflict is over. I recall the ridiculous (and later shown to be completely false) claims by the Israelis about what they had accomplished by their aerial attacks against Hezbollah in the 2006 war. And the American/Israeli claims about the performance of the Patriots during Desert Storm. I also know that Syria, Russia and Iran have an incentive to exaggerate the failure of the US systems and the performance of Syria's air defenses against these attacks. Under the circumstances, I will go with my own estimate based on tid bits and guesses and it will probably more accurate than what either side has claimed. On my estimate, it is likely that at least a dozen of the missiles fired by the US were intercepted. I don't think more than that is likely.

After what I saw and experienced in Southeast Asia all those years ago I realized that the US government is not a protector of anything but special interests and the military industrial complex. In the years since, every action shows it to be the 800 pound enemy of human rights and the rule of law. Our government commits military aggression as it pleases, just as it and France and Britain did on Friday night, and its elected leaders are war criminals. Talk about a rude awakening.

I am sure that given a few days warning such videos would not be a problem to fake in fact it would be a far far cheaper to do so then to in fact intercept a missile coming in at 100 feet at 600 mph.

By the way the videos I saw with petty lights in the sky was high in the night sky not near the ground as where a cruise missile would be flying.

It's like watching TV reporters on the ground in Syria asking those who had worked in the destroyed buildings after the missile attacks if they had been processing chemicals & the replies to Assad gassing Syrians were of disbelief as that wouldn't occur in the country; just as this cross conditioned way beyond therapy Christian Nation in mention of thieving US Constitution arsonists & the burning Bush's 9/11 patriot act for that second coming elicits an Islam Christiananality suicidal pedophile mentality defense .

YEP, and this is what happens when some people cannot contain themselves over murdering, of an attempt to murder others. The recent sorties meant to impede Assad has done nothing but prove that all of the money in the world cannot make one succeed from might and threats of might. Assad used OLD air-defense and knocked out MOST (3/4) of Tomahawk missiles and save the Syrian people from further misery brought on by Saudi Arabia, America, England, France and their financed THUGS! So who is the TERRORIST? Is it the Occident with their murderous goons, or is it the Occident and their murderous goons?

You're the archetypal arrogant and ruthless 'Do as we say or else!' imperialists, and I hope your country comes unstuck in some way. And to think how much I used to admire Americans. But because of attitudes like yours, I'm now beginning to loathe you - not that you GAF about that I'm sure. Just think about this old aphorism 'The bigger they are, the harder they fall.' because it could apply to you.

I'm in the UK; and to take on board your insinuation, I'm well aware that we had to pay for your support in WW2 under the Marshall plan, and that it wasn't forthcoming altruistically and gratis.

I never insinuate that our envolvement in WWII was altruistic

FDR said if your neighbors house is on fire you lend him a water hose lestt your house catch fire next

But I meant America’s role of superpower and policeman after WWII that has been least understood or appreciated

Now foreigners who should know better treat America as the enemy for doing the dirty jobs that others could not ot would not do

I hope you realise that any contempt for America isn't leveled against Americans per se, it's against the never-ending proven incompetence and stupidity of government and its agencies. And to prove I'm not anti-American (far from it, in fact - apart from the wackos on this site), because ours are incompetent and stupid too. Seems to go with the territory of 'politics'.

I give a little leeway to foreigners on international affairs involving third countries

But I’m not interested in your opinion on our domestic issures whatsoever

I suspect he's either Russian or Syrian. Most likely the former.

Since he claims Syria shot down all of our missiles, I suggest we launch several more, some at Assad, to give them "target practice".

Its difficult to tell who all the foreigners posting here are

but I suspect a lot of Americans were happy to think our missles failed to hit their targets
